    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a plurality of port arrangements for transmitting one or more sounding reference signals to the base station. The UE may select a port arrangement of the plurality of port arrangements based on a first quantity of ports available to the UE for transmitting the one or more sounding reference signals. The UE may transmit a first sounding reference signal using a second quantity of ports of the first quantity of ports based on the selected port arrangement. Further, the UE may transmit a second sounding reference signal using a third quantity of ports of the first quantity of ports based on the selected port arrangement.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) to a user equipment (UE) using heterogenous antenna panels, where a first antenna panel used to transmit the CSI-RS may have a different number of antenna ports than a second antenna panel used to transmit the CSI-RS. The UE may generate a codebook to report CSI based on the heterogenous antenna panels. In some cases, the UE may report compressed CSI if the antenna panels are in close proximity together.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some systems, a first device may include a first circular antenna array including a first quantity of antenna subarrays. A second device may include a second circular antenna array including a second quantity of antenna arrays. Each antenna subarray may include one or more antenna elements. The first device may transmit one or more reference signals to the second device. The second device may transmit a feedback message to the first device based on the reference signals. The feedback message may include an indication of sets of beamforming weights or information for determining the sets of beamforming weights based on the second quantity of antenna subarrays being different than the first quantity of antenna subarrays. The first device may transmit one or more signals concurrently to the second device based on the sets of beamforming weights.

The method includes receiving, from a network entity at a control unit associated with a reconfigurable intelligent surface, a set of multiple reference signals via a set of multiple receive beams, acquiring, via a first antenna panel associated with the control unit, a first beam of the set of multiple receive beams, acquiring, via a second antenna panel associated with the control unit, a second beam of the set of multiple receive beams, determining reflection coefficients of the reconfigurable intelligent surface for communication with the network entity based on the acquiring of the first beam and the acquiring of the second beam, and communicating via the reconfigurable intelligent surface based on the reflection coefficients of the reconfigurable intelligent surface.

    Abstract: A technique is performed at a user equipment (UE) for supporting one or more radio frequency (RF) sensing measurements. A reflected downlink signal is received, wherein the reflected downlink signal is transmitted as a downlink signal from a base station and reflected off of a target. An uplink signal is transmitted to be reflected off of the target and received by the base station as a reflected uplink signal. A UE receive-transmit (RX-TX) time difference is determined, representing a difference between a time at which the reflected downlink signal is received by the UE and a time at which the uplink signal is transmitted by the UE. A UE measured frequency offset is determined based on reception of the reflected downlink signal, the UE measured frequency offset comprising a Doppler shift component corresponding to a velocity of the target.

According to certain aspects, a method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) generally includes generating channel state information (CSI) comprising a (at least one) fractional rank indication (RI) value for a set of candidate ranks, a first indication of a first layer or first singular vector, and a second indication of a second layer or second singular vector and transmitting the CSI to a network entity.
