Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the present disclosure provide for a user equipment (UE) performing contention-based access to utilize historical pathloss measurements to identify available resources for beamformed sidelink communications. The historical pathloss measurements may be obtained by the UE, by one or more other UEs, or both, where the UE may combine its own historical pathloss measurements with historical pathloss measurements obtained at the one or more other UEs. Such historical pathloss measurements may allow the UE to determine if one or more beam combinations associated with the resources may cause unacceptable interference (e.g., interference satisfying a threshold) while reducing signaling overhead associated with exchanges of inter-UE coordination messages. Accordingly, the UE may determine to yield transmissions over one or more resources or to yield reception to allow other UEs to utilize the one or more resources.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a UE determines a sidelink resource configuration for a slot, wherein the sidelink resource configuration includes a first set of resources carrying a first PSSCH in a first mini-slot of the slot, a second set of resources carrying a second PSSCH in a second mini-slot of the slot, and a third set of resources carrying a PSFCH associated with one or more PSSCHs of one or more preceding slots. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a first control resource pool associated with sidelink control signaling during a first sensing window and monitor a portion of a second resource pool associated with sidelink data signaling during a second sensing window. The UE may perform joint resource selection on the first resource pool and the second resource pool based on the monitoring during the first and second sensing windows. The UE may transmit a sidelink control information message including resource indication fields to reserve the selected sidelink control channel resources and selected sidelink shared channel resources. The UE may transmit the sidelink data message on one or more of the reserved sidelink shared channel resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices supporting flexible frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) for sidelink are described. For example, a wireless device may receive, over a sidelink channel, control information including a parameter associated with a first FDRA of a first transport block (TB) associated with an initial transmission and an indication of a second FDRA of a second TB associated with a subsequent transmission after the initial transmission. The wireless device may identify the first FDRA of the first TB based on receiving the control information and may communicate one or more signals over the sidelink channel based on identifying the first FDRA of the first TB and receiving the indication of the second FDRA of the second TB. In some examples, the wireless device may receive, over a second sidelink channel, second control information including a second parameter associated with a size of the second TB.
