    Abstract: A method at a scheduling entity might include determining that interference is present from a neighboring scheduling entity, which implements a second subcarrier spacing that is different from a first subcarrier spacing of the scheduling entity. The scheduling entity might request the neighboring scheduling entity to negotiate a bandwidth group (BWG), where the BWG is a bandwidth occupied by downlink subcarriers within which a transmission parameter is maintained. The method might include negotiating a bandwidth of the bandwidth group and transmitting, if negotiating is successful, downlink data to a scheduled entity served by the scheduling entity according to the negotiated bandwidth. The transmission parameter might be a precoder, rank, modulation order, power inside each BWG, or numerology. The numerology might be scalable and might be a combination of subcarrier spacing and cyclic prefix (CP) overhead, The subcarrier spacing might be scaled while keeping constant the CP overhead as a percentage of a symbol duration.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) device, control information indicating a condition associated with a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) grouping characteristic of a DMRS that is to be wirelessly communicated using one or more physical (PHY) channels. The method further includes performing the wireless communication based on the DMRS grouping characteristic indicated by the control information. The wireless communication is performed in response to detecting, by the UE device, that a first full duplex resource configuration associated with a first slot of a plurality of slots of a wireless communication and a second full duplex resource configuration associated with a second slot of the plurality of slots satisfy the condition.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for DMRS allocation in sub-band FD. For transmission of UL data in a set of symbols having UL DMRS in at least one symbol, a UE may determine which symbol(s) in a subframe will receive DL DMRS so that the UE may align the transmission of the UL DMRS with a reception of the DL DMRS. For transmission of DL data in a set of symbols having a DL DMRS, a BS may determine for a first subset of symbols that a PUSCH will be received from the UE or determine for a second subset of symbols that a PUSCH will not be received from the UE. The BS insert a DL RS within the first subset of symbols or the second subset of symbols based on the determination regarding the PUSCH.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, the method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting, to a base station, first reference signals. The base station may perform channel estimation using the first reference signals and estimate a value for an uplink channel based on the channel estimation. The base station may generate second reference signals such that a characteristic of a downlink channel seen by the UE is within a target value and transmit the second reference signals to the UE. The UE may estimate a value for the characteristic of the downlink channel and obtain the target value from the estimated value. Both the UE and the base station may generate a secret using the target value and utilize the secret key for physical layer protection.

    Abstract: A UE includes: a transceiver configured to receive positioning signals from a positioning-signal source; a memory; and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory, the processor configured to: measure a plurality of the positioning signals, from a plurality of ports, spanning a collection of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed symbols to obtain a plurality of multi-port measurements; determine, based on the plurality of multi-port measurements, that a particular effective beam corresponds to an earliest time of arrival from the positioning-signal source to the UE of a plurality of effective beams associated with the plurality of ports; and send, via the transceiver to a first network entity, abeam indication indicative of the particular effective beam.
