    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a network node receives, from a network entity, during a location preparation phase of at least a first positioning session to position a user equipment (UE), a configuration message for the first positioning session, determines, based on the configuration message, a time indication indicating an amount of time between the configuration message and a measurement request for the first positioning session, or between the configuration message and a time at which the network node is expected to perform one or more positioning measurements for the first positioning session, receives the measurement request, the measurement request including a measurement time at which the network node is expected to perform the one or more positioning measurements, and performs the one or more positioning measurements during the first location execution phase based on the measurement time.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a method, performed by a first user equipment (UE), comprises participating in a sidelink (SL) positioning session with a second UE, determining that the SL positioning session should be terminated or suspended, and terminating or suspending the SL positioning session. In some aspects, terminating or suspending the SL positioning session may be performed via communication over a SL channel, via communication over a channel other than the SL channel, or combinations thereof. In some aspects, terminating or suspending the SL positioning session comprises terminating or suspending the SL positioning session via a multicast message, a groupcast message, a broadcast message, or a unicast message.
