The glazing unit further features at least one frequencies selective decoated portion of the coating system extending along a plane, P, defined by a longitudinal axis, X, and a vertical axis, Z; having a width, DW, measured along the longitudinal axis, X, and a length, DL, measured along the vertical axis, Z. The frequencies selective decoated portion includes a first decoated element with a plurality of unit cells forming a regular grid, and a plurality of second decoated elements wherein a second decoated element is placed in each unit cell of the first decoated element and no second decoated element is in contact with the first decoated element.

The dual-polarized broadband millimeter-wave filtering antenna based on a meta-surface comprises two layers of dielectric substrates, which are arranged in a stacked manner, wherein an upper surface and a lower surface of a lower-layer dielectric substrate are respectively provided with an upper-layer metal ground and a lower-layer metal ground, an upper surface of an upper-layer dielectric substrate is provided with a meta-surface structure, the meta-surface structure comprises N metal patches, which are arranged in an array, a slot is etched on each metal patch, the upper-layer dielectric substrate is connected to the upper-layer metal ground, and a Jerusalem cross slot is etched on the upper-layer metal ground. The antenna has a simple structure, and radiation and filtering can be realized at the same time without increasing the size of the antenna, thereby greatly reducing the volume of a radio-frequency front end and without any extra insertion loss.

Abstract: An assembly for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding to prevent incident radiation from penetrating through a gap to an interior of an aircraft includes an electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure. The EBG structure has a patch-and-via array connected to a ground layer. The EMI shielding includes a conductive adhesive and is flexible for conforming attachment to curved aircraft surfaces. The shielding may be located on a deflector plate that is parallel to an adjacent aircraft surface, on the airframe surface opposite to the deflector plate, or in both locations. The assembly filters out penetrating electromagnetic energy and prevents highly resonant cavity mode build-ups of electromagnetic energy inside a nacelle or other enclosure effectively protecting electrical equipment in the interior.

The package system further includes a radio frequency signal interface wirelessly connecting the antennas of the first package and the second package. The radio frequency signal interface comprises the at least one conductive element.

Abstract: An antenna arrangement having a stacked layered structure. The antenna arrangement includes a radiation layer including one or more radiation elements, and a distribution layer facing the radiation layer. The distribution layer is arranged to distribute a radio frequency signal to the one or more radiation elements. The first EBG structure is also arranged to prevent electromagnetic propagation in a frequency band of operation from propagating from the at least one first waveguide in directions other than through the at least one distribution layer feed and the one or more radiation elements. The distribution layer includes a plurality of distribution modules and a positioning structure, the positioning structure is arranged to fix the distribution modules in position.
