摘要： A package, particularly suited for containing viscous foodstuff, comprising a wide-mouth generally rectangular container and a dispensing closure. The closure seals onto the container with a push-on motion and includes a resealable flip-up hinged lid. The container is originally sealed, after being filled, with a seal membrane applied to the container mouth. The closure is configured to permit the seal membrane to be conveniently removed from the container mouth while the closure remains assembled on the container.

摘要： A container including a pail and a lid with a retractable spout disposed in an opening defined in the lid. The spout is displaceable between a retracted position with said spout projecting inwardly into the pail and an extended position with the spout projecting outwardly from the lid away from the pail. The spout has a free end and an opposite end permanently secured at all times to the lid proximate the opening irrespective of the positioning of the spout. In a preferred embodiment, the lid is secured to the pail so as to form an airtight seal therebetween. The spout and lid also preferably form an airtight seal therebetween. The container is used to store any product, for example, a salt product used to melt ice on outdoor surfaces in cold weather.

摘要： A carbonated canned beverage sealing device including a cover member having a circular member for positioning over an upper end of a beverage can. The cover member has an O-ring positionable inside the can rolled lip to effect a seal therewith. The circular ring has radial apertures each having rivets slidably disposed therein to abut the can below the rolled lip. A cap portion has a periphery for positioning over the cover member. Radially disposed tab housings extend outwardly and downwardly from the cap periphery in a spaced relationship corresponding with the rivets. Each tab housing has a hollow opening for receiving a rivet whereby the openings are positioned over the rivets. The cap portion-is rotated so that the rivets are pushed inwardly against the can below the can rolled lip to hold and effect a seal between the O-ring and the upper end of the carbonated beverage can.

摘要： A protective seal for beverage cans, etc. completely covers and seals the mouth contact area of the can, thereby protecting that area from contamination. The present seal comprises a thin, durable, impervious sheet applied to the top of the can surrounding the opening area, extending down the upper side of the can adjacent the top opening area for a short distance to cover the mouth contact area of the can. The seal is peripherally sealed to the can surface by a narrow strip of food grade adhesive. The tab attachment extension of the seal may include bushings, washers, etc. to provide clearance for the majority of the seal to pivot between the pop tab lever and can top, and/or may include a circumferential weakening line about the pop tab rivet to allow the majority of the seal to shear circumferentially to pivot about the captured rivet attachment portion thereof.
