摘要： A motion simulation system includes a pedestal that may be positioned on a support surface. A car seat is coupled to the top wall and the car seat may support a child. A tilting unit is positioned within the pedestal and the tilting unit is mechanically coupled to the car seat. The tilting unit selectively urges the car seat to tilt in a plurality of angles with respect to a longitudinal axis extending through the pedestal. Thus, the tilting unit simulates motions associated with riding in a vehicle thereby facilitating the tilting unit to soothe the child. A control unit is coupled to the pedestal and the control unit is electrically coupled to the tilting unit.

摘要： Upholstery chair covers and methods for upholstering a chair using the same are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the upholstery chair cover includes a piece of material sized and shaped to cover a body of a chair, and includes a back portion, a seat portion connected to the back portion, at least one flap connected to the seat portion with at least one fastener, wherein the at least one flap secures the piece of material to the body of the chair. In another embodiment, the piece of material includes at least one leg flap connected to the seat portion with at least one leg fastener, wherein the at least one leg fastener secures the at least one leg flap to at least one leg of the chair. The upholstery chair cover may include cushions. The upholstery chair cover gives the appearance of a new re-upholstered chair.

摘要： A collapsible and portable rocking chair includes left and right frame side assemblies collectively defining forward and rear leg portions, armrests, and back support members. The chair also includes cross-members connecting the left and right frame said assemblies and collectively defining a seat support in the set-up condition of the chair. The cross members are pivotally connected to one another as well as to the left and right frame side assemblies to facilitate folding of the chair frame to a collapsed condition. Each frame side assembly is supported on a fulcrum point for rocking movement of the chair frame. A rocker mechanism is attached to the chair frame to support the chair during rocking movement and to facilitate rocking of the chair in connection with the user's shifting weight. The rocker mechanism may be provided in connection with a front leg member, a rear leg member, or both.

In some embodiments, the multi-directional glider comprises a glider base including a glider mechanism supporting a gliding top, the glider mechanism providing for generally linear motion of the gliding top along at least a segment of a first axis, and a seat including at least a bottom element, the bottom element being rotatably coupled to the gliding top of the glider base by a rotatable coupler providing for rotation of the seat about a second axis, wherein an orientation of the seat in relation to the first axis may be selectively modified by rotation of the seat about the second axis. Thus, the multi-directional glider as described in this embodiment enables a user to modify an orientation of the seat in relation to a back-and-forth glide path allowed by the glider mechanism.

摘要： This application is related to an apparatus and method for improving venous blood flow in mobility-impaired patients. In one aspect, the apparatus is a motorized or powered rocking chair with a footplate. The rocking chair and footplate rotate through physiologically relevant ranges of motion either at the same frequency or at different frequencies in order to mechanically induce a calf muscle pump action in the dependent legs of a mobility-impaired patient. Artificially inducing the calf muscle pump action in such patients acts to boost the action of the heart and lessen blood pooling in the lower extremities of the legs.

摘要： A convertible rocking chair can be converted to use as a rocking-bed, a chair and a rocking-horse. The convertible rocking chair has an arched base rack and a seat frame. The arched base rack has a curved downside for rocking and rolling back and forth against ground. The seat frame includes a left-side rack and a right-side rack for stretching a fabric cover therebetween to form an accommodating space. The left-side rack and right-side rack can be locked in a first position when converted to the rocking-bed or chair, and rotatable to close together in a second position for engaging with a seat board so as to convert to the rocking-horse. The seat frame may pivot to the arched base rack and adjust inclination by a lifting rack when being converted to a chair.
