Abstract: Systems and method for image generation in a gaze tracking display. A gaze tracking display system includes a graphics processor and display circuitry. The graphics processor is configured to perform foveated rendering of image data, and to output foveated image data. The display circuitry is coupled to the graphics processor. The display circuitry includes a display device and a display controller. The display device is configured to produce a viewable image. The display controller is configured to drive the display device. The display controller includes foveated data reconstruction circuitry configured to produce an image at a resolution of the display device based on the foveated image data received from the graphics processor.

Abstract: An image display device includes a communication device transmits a transmission request to each of the image transmission devices and receives a frame including differential data transmitted by each image transmission device in response to the transmission request. A measurement unit measures, for each image transmission device, a first required time interval, which is the time required from the start of transmission of the transmission request until the start of reception of the frame, and a second required time interval, which is the time required from the start of reception until the completion of reception of the frame. A control unit causes transmission requests to be sent to each of the image transmission devices at predetermined transmission intervals, causes measurement unit to measure the first and second required time intervals, and changes the transmission interval of the transmission request based on the measurement results.

Abstract: A video display with high image quality is achieved even when a frame cycle varies for each frame. A video display system includes a video source device 11 which outputs a video signal and a display device 12 which displays a video based on a video signal output from the video source device 11. The video source device 11 includes a drawing time prediction unit 104 and a transmitting unit 102. The drawing time prediction unit 104 calculates frame interval information indicating an interval from when a video signal of a first frame is output to when a video signal of a second frame to be a next frame of the first frame is output. The transmitting unit 102 transmits the frame interval information calculated by the drawing time prediction unit 104 to the display device 12.

Abstract: A method of compressing image data involves determining an active area of an image to be displayed, at least part of which changes from frame to frame to provide a moving image. Colour values for each pixel in at least part of the active area that has changed are determined (S73) and a resolution of a blue component of the colour values is dynamically reduced (S75) relative to resolutions of green and red components of the colour values. The image data is then transmitted, together with error correction information indicating how to correct the blue component when the image data is displayed. The active area may be a particularly fast changing part of the image or an area on which a user is focussed.

Abstract: A screen sharing system includes information processing apparatuses that display the same content on their respective screens as a shared screen. Each of the information processing apparatuses includes an operation right switching unit configured to acquire an operation right, a transmission data generating unit configured to generate transmission data including operational information of an input operation, and a drawing unit configured to draw a display object on the screen. At the receiving information processing apparatus, the drawing unit draws the display object according to the operational information in the transmission data received from the transmitting information processing apparatus.

In an embodiment, logic causes a first plurality of pixels of a display panel to be turned off in response to an indication that a charge level of a power supply, coupled to supply electrical power to the display panel, has dropped below a threshold level. The display panel is not backlight drive (such as an OLED or QDOT display panels. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

The system may include an eye tracking device for determining a gaze point of a user on a display device. The system may also include a graphics processing device for causing graphics to be displayed on the display device. The graphics displayed on the display device may be modified such that the graphics in an area including the gaze point of the user have at least one modified parameter relative to graphics outside the area. The size of the area may be based at least in part on an amount of noise in the gaze point over time and at least one other secondary factor.
