    摘要: A crossbow including a frame with a riser and a center rail. First and second flexible limbs are attached to the riser. A draw string is received in string guide journals in first and second cams rotatably attached to the frame. The draw string unwinds from the string guide journals as it translates between a released configuration and a drawn configuration. The first and second cams include at least first and second power cable take-up journals, respectively. At least first and second power cables are attached to the first and second limbs and received in the first and second power cable take-up journals, respectively. As the crossbow is drawn from the released configuration to the drawn configuration the first and second power cables wrap onto the respective first and second power cable take-up journals.

    摘要: An archery bow is provided having a cam assembly including a first bowstring track and a second bowstring track laterally separated by a distance, and adapted to guide different portions of a bowstring. The bowstring tracks can be spaced from one another along an axis of rotation of the cam assembly so that the loads exerted by the bowstring portions are substantially balanced. Accordingly, the loads are inhibited from urging the cam to lean out of vertical alignment and/or twisting the limb. The cam assembly can include a power cable track which guides a cable centered on the axis of rotation, and which is within a central longitudinal limb plane. Large, dynamic loads exerted by the power cable through the cam assembly can be centered to inhibit cam lean and limb torque. A related method of inhibiting limb twist, and a split bowstring also are provided.

    摘要: A bow stringing and unstringing device for a compound bow has a stop mounted on the outer ends of resilient limbs of a compound bow to prevent movement of the outer ends of the anchor wires of the bow back over the pulleys when the bowstring is removed from the ends of the anchor wires. A stringer wire has a suitable hook for attaching the ends thereof to suitable connector, for example, an eye-bolt, also at the ends of the resilient limbs of the bow for releasing the tension on the bowstring when pulled like the bowstring so that the bowstring may be removed from the bow. A novel brace which fits between the drawn stringer wire and the bow handle is provided for maintaining the tension in the stringer wire while removing and replacing the bowstring and for carrying the stringer wire when the same is not in use.
