Abstract:
A dispensing device for applying a pasty substance, for example to a human hair, comprises a cup-shaped cylindrical container and a piston located therein and displaceable within the container. The container is sealingly connected to an operating extension having a cylindrical passage terminated with a dispensing nozzle which is selectively closed by a sealing cap. The piston is formed with two sealing lips spaced from one another in the axial direction and outwardly and angularly extending from the periphery of the piston so that one of the lips sealingly connects the piston to the internal wall of the container whereby the second lip is adapted to reliably guide said piston within the container.
Abstract:
A storage device (10) comprising a receptacle (12) and a movable closure member (22), the closure member comprising a seal (30) about its periphery, for positioning against the inside of the receptacle, and a valve (32) within its periphery, wherein the closure member can be moved within the receptacle such that its periphery is substantially continually in contact with the internal surface of the receptacle, and wherein, when in an open position, the valve allows flow of fluid from within the receptacle through the valve, and when in a closed position, the valve prevents flow of liquid from within the receptacle, wherein the receptacle is substantially closed at its lower end.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a container assembly that includes a built-in follow plate for loading a viscous fluid into the barrel of a dispensing device. The assembly includes a drum for holding a viscous fluid therein and a lid for fitting over the drum open top to effect closure of the drum. The assembly includes a horizontally oriented follow plate detachable from the lid. The follow plate includes a central hub arranged for receiving the barrel of a dispensing device. The follow plate moves in response to a change in the level of fluid in the drum as it is drawn into the barrel of the dispensing device.
