Abstract:
The invention relates to a disposable grill (1) comprising a base tray (2) as an outer grill cover made in a flammable material, a fuel (3) shaped in a combustible biomass material, and an insert structure (4) made in a heat insulating material for holding said fuel (3) and being partly or fully covered by said base tray (2), wherein at least one wall thickness of at least one location in said insert structure (4) being defined by one or more characteristics of said fuel (3) and said base tray (2). The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a disposable grill.
Abstract:
Disposable grill including a base tray having a bottom part and a top opening, the disposable grill further including grate means having a load-carrying structure, where the grate means is adapted to cover at least a part of the top opening, and where the bottom part of the base tray and the load-carrying structure of the grate means are formed by a flammable material.
Abstract:
A grill accessory creates a steaming chamber on a grill that has a heat source and a rack of spaced-apart bars over the heat source. The grill accessory includes a cover configured that covers a food item and forms a steaming region below the cover. The cover operates in connection with a vapor generator that receives and holds fluid beneath the cover. The vapor generator has at least one vent opening to release steam into the steaming chamber. The grill accessory is configured so that it can rest upon the grill rack of spaced-apart bars, and so that the vapor generator transmits heat to the fluid in the vapor generator to convert the fluid to steam. The vapor generator releases the steam through the vent opening(s) into the steaming region below the cover. The steam can help melt toppings and/or introduce moisture into food items cooked on the grill.
Abstract:
One embodiment of a fire-kindler which produces a solitary flame cone comprised of pre-mixed air and fuel gases and an increased flame velocity. Comfortably portable in ones' back pocket, a conveniently accessible product of easy use. More reliable in and resistant to adverse outdoor conditions when igniting a woodfire. Comprised of a geometrically shaped plate of combustible material, body of fire-kindler 8 of FIGS. 1,2 and 3 has a multiplicity of air apertures 14A-16A18A, thru, 14F-16F-18F of FIG. 2 passing therethrough. Working co-operatively to produce a strong increased flame velocity in a more neutral solitary flame. Thus establishing a more intense heat output in a more persistently sturdy flame that remains more consistently focused among adverse winds. Thereby, increasing the application of heat and the speed and ease of firewood ignition.
Abstract:
A fire starter for use with a grill (G) for cooking foods includes a combustible bag (A) placed on the grill. The bag's contents include charcoal (B) which, when lit, has a relatively long burn time. Interspersed in the bag with the charcoal are wood shavings (S) which have a relatively shorter burn time than the charcoal. In one embodiment, the contents of the bag are poured into the grill. In another embodiment, one end (E1) of the bag is opened and placed on a grate (P). The other, upper end (E2) of the bag is opened and the lower end of the bag ignited. Setting the bag vertically on the grate produces a chimney effect to facilitate burning of the bag and its contents. When the bag is ignited, the shavings are also ignited and burn for a period sufficiently long to ignite the charcoal before being consumed.
Abstract:
Combustible packages for containing a fuel source and a fire started are provided. A combustible package may include a cardboard outer wall and top and bottom lids for substantially closing top and bottom openings defined by the outer wall. Each lid may define a central panel for extending across an opening and a plurality of tabs for facilitating a press fit between the lids and the outer wall. Each lid may also define a central opening for receiving an end of a fire starter. The fire starter may be wound paper tube impregnated with an accelerant. The fuel source may be a plurality of charcoal briquettes contained between the outer wall, the top and bottom lids and the fire starter. The outer wall may define one or more ventilation openings between the bottom edge and the bottom lid. Or the bottom edge may be scalloped to provide ventilation openings.
