摘要： An apparatus for providing stiffness to the upper end of an elongated section of drapery fabric which selectably allows the drapery fabric to be readily foldable when stiffness is not needed. The apparatus also connects the drapery to an overhead, traverse supporting rail, such as by an arrangement of hooks and eyelets or rotatable pendants. The apparatus includes an insert member made of a flexible, relatively stiff material which may be one continuous strip or a series of segments. The apparatus also includes member mountable to the drapery that is made of flexible, readily-foldable material. The insert member and the mounting member are configured so that the insert member may be engaged with the mounting member. When the insert member is engaged with the mounting member, the insert member and mounting member are not readily foldable and provide stiffness to support the drapery fabric between pendants. When the insert member is disengaged from the mounting member, the entire drapery fabric, including the upper end of the drapery fabric to which the mounting member is attached is uniformly foldable.

摘要： A swag support comprising an elongated tubular rod and a longitudinal slot at the rear side of the rod. Each swag holder includes a head portion mounted in the slot in the rod; an arm portion extending upwardly from the head and a C-shaped front portion that extends from the arm portion over the top of the rod and in spaced relation to the front and bottom of the rod and terminates in the distal end spaced from the bottom of the rod to allow a fabric swag scarf to be introduced into the swag holders from below the rod. Each swag holder has a fabric clip for holding an upper portion of the fabric swag scarf at a rear side of the rod and each swag holder also has a plurality of fingers on an inner side of the C-shaped front portion which define a plurality of fabric fold receiving slots at spaced locations along the C-shaped front portion.

摘要： A drapery hanging system for "S" type pleated drapery of a sinuous folded configuation wherein the drapery is suspended from a traverse rod supporting a plurality of slidable carriers. Adjacent carriers are interconnected by a tension connector to equally space the carriers when the drapery is closed, and abutments evenly spaced on the connector adjustably attached to the carriers permit the desired spacing of the drapery folds wherein extensive variations in drapery material width can be accommodated within a given drapery extended dimension and additional carriers may be easily added. A drapery header tape utilizes a weight supporting lip whereby hangers depending from the carriers may be easily adjustably attached to the header tape at the desired location to permit support of the drapery at those locations most advantageous with respect to the drapery material width and drapery extended dimensions.

摘要： A fitting for gathering and fixing curtains or drapes including two plate members connected by a thin web. Each plate member is provided with a thin wing portion having bores or holes cooperable, in a folded position, with cylindrical studs having barb-like projections provided on each of the plates. The wing portions are each provided with notches extending from the outer vertical edges thereof along a line between two adjacent bores or holes in the plate members with the depth of the notches progressively increasing toward the bottom of the fitting. Spacer shims provided with bores or holes are provided and located on the cylindrical studs on each of the plate members. A clamp arrangement consisting of two substantially U-shaped members interconnected by a thin web is employed and cooperates with the plate members to clamp and maintain the curtains or drapes in a predetermined position. At least one external surface of the fitting is provided with a bore or plurality of bores for receiving projecting peg means provided on a hook employed for suspending the curtains or drapes in a vertical rail.

摘要： A curtain heading of pinch-pleated assemblies of butterfly configurations is stiffened by plastic hinged wing stiffeners adapted to be inserted into the open ends of the pinch-pleated assemblies to hold the shape of the pleats and removable therefrom when the curtain is to be washed or dry cleaned. These stiffeners being made of two wings to accommodate the two outside pleats or with a central wing to accommodate the partial inner pleat of the assembly. These same stiffeners when provided with adhesive can be used as a backing on which to form the pleats and heat pressed to adhere the curtain material to the stiffeners so that the stiffeners become a permanent part of the curtain.
