摘要: A heater comprises a cap 20 formed by joining and fixing together curved peripheries 10a as peripheries of two semi-elliptical heat-generator-containing sheets 10 of generally the same shape. The heat-generator-containing sheet 10 comprises a waterproof inner layer sheet 2, an air-permeable sheet 5 disposed so as to cover the entire surface of the inner layer sheet 2, and a plurality of heat generators 3 interposed between and held by the inner layer sheet 2 and the air-permeable sheet 5, which generate heat when in contact with an air. The heat generators 3 are disposed substantially over the entire surface of the cap 20. The heat-generator-containing sheets 10 are joined and fixed together with the respective inner layer sheets 2 being the inner surface. The heater realizes a simple handling when in use, a small temperature variation, and simple fabrication process.

摘要: A new Uniform Heat Distributing Head Protecting System for providing a cap which protects a user's ears and uniformly heats a chemical applied to the user's hair. The inventive device includes a cover formed to snugly engage a head, an elastic band attached to the cover, a pair of arcuate support members attached to the cover, a heat control switch, and three heating elements secured within the cap for heating the chemical applied to the hair. 摘要: A heat cap is provided for applying heat to hair on a user's head, primarily to a pile or row of hair along the top of the user's head. The heat cap is shaped to conform substantially to the shape of the user's head with the pile of hair thereon so as to apply heat evenly to the hair. The heating coil is disposed in the heat cap only in those areas where heat is desired for the hair and is absent in areas of the heat cap where it is undesirable to apply heat to the head. An adjustable flap on each side of the heat cap enables the size of the cap to be adjusted to fit different users. The adjustable flaps also tend to hold the cap outward away from the ear and lower sides of the head and can be easily opened to enable access to the user's ear while the heat cap is being worn. An electrical thermostat automatically brings the heat cap to an optimal temperature and maintains the temperature during the desired conditioning period. The heat cap is manufactured by cutting a plurality of similarily shaped flat pieces and joining them together along certain corresponding sides.

摘要: A heat cap for reducing processing time of permanent waves for the hair includes a cap which fits over the head, and a thermostatically controlled electrical heating element inside the cap for applying a selected heat distribution pattern to thermally-activated permanent wave solutions applied to the hair. The heating element comprises an electrical resistance heating film, preferably a meander pattern of conductive metal foil supported by a flexible, high temperature-resistant, fibrous dielectric sheet, such as aramid paper. The conductor develops a selected heat distribution pattern to be developed within the cap which, in turn, produces a generally uniform rate of heat processing for the permanent wave. The cap opens and closes along a pair of splits in the temple regions of the cap. Fasteners, preferably cooperating sections of Velcro material, are located along opposite sides of each split and are used to releasably close selected overlapping portions of the cap adjacent each split so the cap will closely conform to the size and shape of the head and the permanent wave structure to apply heat uniformly to all rollers in the permanent wave.
