Abstract: A display apparatus and a method of providing a user interface (UI) thereof are provided. The method includes: displaying at least one item in a first area of a display screen; when one of the at least one item is selected, displaying a first sub screen corresponding to the selected item in a second area of the display screen and displaying at least one first lower item of the selected item; and when one of the at least one first lower item is selected, displaying a sub screen corresponding to the selected first lower item to overlap with at least a part of the first sub screen.
