Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for setting a block in an electronic device. Content is displayed on a display of the electronic device. The electronic device senses a first touch input on an area for setting the displayed content in the display as a block. The electronic device senses a second touch input while the first touch input is maintained on the area. The electronic device sets at least a part of the content as the block, based on a movement of the second touch input.
