Abstract: A display device of the disclosure includes a grayscale converter which converts input grayscales into output grayscales based on a scale factor, a data driver which converts the output grayscales into data voltages, a plurality of pixels which receives the data voltages and displays an image based on the data voltages, and a current sensor which provides a sensing current by sensing a first power current supplied to the plurality of pixels to display the image. When a load corresponding to the input grayscales is greater than a minimum load, the grayscale converter adjusts a change amount of the scale factor based on a current difference between a target current corresponding to the load and the sensing current.

Abstract: A display device includes a sensor, a timing controller, and a data driver. The sensor senses characteristic values of an element included in a pixel of the display device using input initialization and data voltages in a sensing period of one frame period. The timing controller calculates compensation data voltage using the characteristic values, and calculate adjusted initialization and data voltages in the sensing period by using the compensation data voltage. The data driver output the adjusted initialization and data voltages to the pixel during the sensing period in response to a control signal output from the timing controller.

The pixels may be divided into pixel groups. The timing controller may calculate first load values corresponding to an image frame of input image data and may generate image data by scaling gradation values of the input image data using scale factors. The data driver may generate data signals corresponding to the image data and may supply the data signals to the pixel set. The scale factor provider may calculate the first load values and one or more second load values based on temperature data corresponding to a temperature of the pixel set and may generate the scale factors based on the one or more second load values and a common current value of a current received by the pixels.
