    Abstract: A foveated display apparatus includes a first display panel configured to form a two-dimensional (2D) image; a second display panel configured to form a hologram image comprising a three-dimensional (3D) image; a light guide plate configured to transmit the 2D image at a first angle of view to an eye of a user; and a holographic optical element configured to transmit the hologram image at a second angle of view to the eye of the user, the second angle of view being smaller than the first angle of view.

    Abstract: An image display device includes a main light source configured to emit a first light; a display panel configured to modulate the first light to add image information to the first light; a holographic optical element (HOE) configured to diffract the first light emitted from the display panel to make the first light travel to a first region to generate a main image; a first optical system provided on a traveling path of the first light between the main light source and the HOE, the first optical system being configured to change the traveling path of the first light to be incident on the HOE along a first path; an auxiliary light source configured to emit a second light; and a second optical system provided on a traveling path of the second light, the second optical system being configured to change a traveling path of the second light to be incident on the HOE along a second path different from the first path.

    Abstract: A transparent panel is provided. The transparent panel includes a polarization plate, a transparent diffusion plate which is disposed on one side of the polarization plate and is configured to transmit light incident from a side of the polarization plate and to reflect and diffuse a light incident from an opposite side of the polarization plate, a ¼ wavelength plate which is disposed on one side of the transparent diffusion plate and is configured to convert a polarization direction of an incident light, and a lens part which is disposed on one side of the ¼ wavelength plate. The lens part includes a lens array comprising a birefringent material having different refractive indexes according to a polarization direction of an incident light, and a refractive index alignment member configured to transmit or refract the light according to a polarization direction of a light that penetrates the lens array.
