Abstract: An industrial software management system uses subscription tokens to license industrial software to customers. According to an example licensing structure, a software customer can purchase subscription tokens that are shared among users within the customer's organization and that allow those users to check out and use industrial software products. The subscription tokens regulate the number of software product instances that may be used concurrently by the users. When a user checks out a software product for use, the customer's total number of available subscription tokens commensurate with a cost of the selected software product. When the user relinquishes use of the product, the subscription tokens are returned to the pool of available tokens. Users may only check out a software product for use is if a sufficient number of unused subscription tokens are available.

Abstract: A cloud computing system receives data associated with a component of an industrial automation system, wherein the data identifies a supplier of the component, and a location of the component within the industrial automation system, updates a registry for the industrial automation system based on the received data, generates a mapping between the industrial automation system and the component of the industrial automation system, wherein the mapping is indicative of the supplier, the location, or both, models the component performing one or more operations in the industrial automation system based on the received data, the registry, and the mapping, determines a recommended action for the industrial automation system based on the model, the received data, the registry, and the mapping, and transmits the recommended action to a computing device.

Abstract: An industrial information hub (IIH) and an industrial development hub (IDH) serve as an industrial ecosystem platform where multiple participants can deliver repeatable and standardized services relevant to their core competencies. The IIH system is centered around the development of an ecosystem that creates and delivers value to users—including industrial enterprises, OEMs, system integrators, vendors, etc.—through the aggregation of digital content and domain expertise. The IIH system serves as a trusted information broker between the ecosystem and the OT environments of plant facilities, and provides a platform for connecting assets, contextualizing asset data and providing secure access to the ecosystem. As part of this ecosystem, the IIH system uses a secure remote access architecture to allow users to remotely access data on their plant floor assets via a virtual private network connection.

Abstract: An industrial automation system may include a first computing device that may receive operational technology (OT) data from industrial automation devices of an industrial automation system, determine identities of the industrial automation devices based on the OT data, determine that the OT data includes data attributes having variations as compared to additional OT data, transmit the identifiers and the data attributes to a second computing device in response to determining that the data attributions have the variations, receive containers including updated digital representations of the industrial automation devices from the second computing device, execute the containers to output additional data attributes, and send commands to the industrial automation devices to modify processes based the additional data attributes.

Abstract: An industrial development hub (IDH) supports industrial development and testing capabilities that are offered as a cloud-based service. The IDH comprises an enhanced storage platform and associated design tools that serve as a repository on which customers can store control project code, device configurations, and other digital aspects of an industrial automation project. The IDH system can facilitate discovery and management of digital content associated with control systems, and can be used for system backup and restore, code conversion, and version management.

Abstract: A industrial visualization system generates augmented reality presentations for rendering on a user's wearable computer as the user traverses an industrial facility. The system can leverage data indexed in a federated data model that unifies plant-wide data from multiple diverse sources under a common namespace. By leveraging the unified plant data and interacting with a wearable computer worn by a user, the augmented reality presentation system provides automation system data, notifications, and proactive guidance to a user via modification of the user's view of his or her immediate surroundings. Such modifications can include superimposing data values or indicators on the user's view of a machine or automation system through the user's wearable computer. The system can customize presentation of this information based on the user's role, location, line of sight, type of wearable device, and/or other contextual information.

Abstract: A cloud-based Industrial Development Hub (IDH) supports development and testing capabilities for industrial customers that are easy to use and offered as a service. The IDH comprises an enhanced storage platform and associated design tools-collectively referred to as the Vault-which serves as a repository on which customers can store control project code, device configurations, and other digital aspects of an industrial automation project. The IDH system can facilitate discovery and management of digital content associated with control systems, and can be used for system backup and restore, code conversion, and version management. In addition, the IDH includes analytic tools that can analyze industrial control projects submitted by user and generate project telemetry data based on the analysis. The system can translate this project telemetry data to various types of relational maps that visualized dependencies between data producers and consumers from a control standpoint.

Abstract: Embodiments of this present disclosure may include systems that perform operations including receiving a first symbol instance from an industrial automation device. The first template object instance may characterize a dataset accessible to the industrial automation device. Symbol object instances may inherit a categorization with respect to categories associated with the industrial automation device including an identity, a state, a runtime status, a maintenance status, sustainability information, or any combination thereof. The operations may include receiving a first input corresponding to the first symbol object instance. The first input may include an indication of a change to the original symbolic definition. The operations may include identifying a type of the industrial automation device based on the first symbol object instance and generating enhanced template data based on the type of the industrial automation device, the first input, and the first symbol object instance.
