Abstract: Different antenna components of a device cause different biases in calculating a location of a user equipment (UE) based on reference signals from another device (which may be sounding reference signals from the UE or positioning reference signals from a base station). A device is configured to use different subsets of antenna components to calculate a positioning measurement. With each of the antenna components associated with a bias in calculating the positioning measurement, each subset of antenna components is associated with a bias in calculating the positioning measurement. The device is configured to generate and report an angle error group (AEG) report that is associated with the positioning measurements calculated (such as an AEG report including positioning measurements and identifiers indicating the antenna components used). The AEG report is used by a location server to identify the antenna components to be used for UE positioning operations.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for collision rules between PRS and other downlink channels. The apparatus determines a PRS priority configuration including a priority for a collision between a PRS occasion and a first downlink channel. The apparatus receives an indication that schedules the first downlink channel. The first downlink channel scheduled to potentially collide with the PRS occasion. The apparatus determines that a time interval between the indication that schedules the first downlink channel and the PRS occasion is greater than a first threshold. The time interval is based on a separation between at least a last symbol of the indication and a first symbol of the PRS occasion. The apparatus applies the PRS priority configuration if the first downlink channel collides with the PRS occasion and the time interval is greater than the first threshold.

Abstract: A mono-static radio frequency sensing coordination method includes: determining, by a network entity for a first apparatus that is a first radio frequency sensing apparatus, a first configuration of a first cellular network signal for mono-static radio frequency sensing such that the first cellular network signal has expected interference of less than a threshold interference due to transmission of a second cellular network signal from a second apparatus that is separate from the first apparatus; and transmitting, from the network entity to the first apparatus, a first configuration message indicating for the first apparatus to use the first configuration of the first cellular network signal for monostatic radio frequency sensing.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may update its channel state information (CSI) on a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and one or more second UEs aperiodically using control information to trigger the CSI reporting process. The aperiodic CSI process may include the base station transmitting a timing requirement and control information to a UE. The control information contains a CSI request may be received and decoded at the UE. According to the CSI request, the first UE may transmit a reference signal on the sidelink for the second UE(s) to measure. The UE(s) may generate and transmit a CSI report on the sidelink to first UE, and the first UE may aggregate the received CSI report(s) and transmit them to the base station within the time period specified by the timing requirement received in the control information.

Abstract: Techniques for selecting a reference signal for positioning of a user equipment (UE) may comprise receiving a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration that indicates a duration of time during which, for each of a plurality of PRS instances, the UE is to perform at least one respective measurement using at least one reference PRS resource. An indication that the UE is to provide a batch report indicative of the measurements also may be received. Performing the at least one respective measurement for each instance of the plurality of PRS instances may comprise selecting, from a plurality of candidate PRS resources, the at least one reference PRS resource based at least in part on a measured characteristic of the at least one reference PRS resource, or a received indication of the at least one reference PRS resource, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A network node may transmit an SSB indicating that the network may support physical layer security, and a UE may extract the secret key for the physical layer security based on the received SSB indicating that the network may support the physical layer security. The network node may indicate a level of the physical layer security using the SSB, and the UE may determine the level of the physical layer security based on the received SSB. In one aspect, the indication that the network may support the physical layer security may be included in the SSB. In another aspect, a synchronization raster of the SSB may indicate that the network supports the physical layer security.

FLEXIBLE RESOURCE ALLOCATION FOR POSITIONING REFERENCE SIGNALS IN TIME AND FREQUENCY DOMAIN

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a network entity, such as a location server or base station, may determine a positioning reference signal (PRS) frequency hopping configuration that specifies a plurality of PRS hops within a PRS resource set, each PRS hop occupying a specified set of one or more contiguous physical resource blocks, and further specifying a time gap between PRS hops to allow a sufficient retuning gap for a user equipment (UE) with reduced BW capability and/or relaxed processing time. The network entity may transmit the PRS frequency hopping configuration to at least one UE, e.g., via broadcast, multicast, groupcast, or unicast over Uu or PC5 links. The pre-configured time gap between PRS hops allows a reduced capacity UE to retune its RF circuit and thus allow PRS measurements over a larger bandwidth than what the UE can support without frequency hopping.
