Abstract:
In a waste toner collecting device, primary cleaning devices and a secondary cleaning device remove residual toner that has remained on photoconductor drums and an intermediate transfer belt, respectively. A conveyance path guides the residual toner in a downstream direction. A toner container stores, as waste toner, the residual toner discharged from a downstream end of the conveyance path. A toner amount sensor outputs a detection signal whose level changes in correspondence with an amount of the waste toner. A derivation portion derives an accumulated value of the residual toner based on image data each time an image formation is performed. A determination portion determines whether or not an abnormality has occurred in the waste toner collecting device based on the level of the detection signal and the accumulated value.
Abstract:
A toner case includes a case main body, a cover, and a seal member. The case main body is configured to contain a toner and to rotate. The cover is configured to cover an opening part arranged at the case main body and to maintain a rotation stop state when the case main body rotates. The seal member is interposed between the case main body and the cover and configured to maintain a rotation stop state when the case main body rotates. At least a part of the seal member is composed of an elastic material.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a toner container, a container attachment portion, and a control portion. The toner container has a coupling portion. The container attachment portion includes a coupled portion that includes a first key member. A second key member of the coupling portion is formed at position where it does not interfere with the first key member in attachment state. The second key member is made of insulator. The coupled portion includes a contact terminal in which a contact is opened by the second key member and becomes OFF state when the toner container is inserted to attachment position, and the contact is closed and becomes ON state when the toner container is removed from the attachment position. The control portion detects the toner container attached to the container attachment portion when the contact of the contact terminal changes from the ON state to the OFF state.
Abstract:
A toner case includes a case main body, a housing frame, a communicating port, a conveying rib, and a conveying screw. The case main body is capable of containing a waste toner. The housing frame is configured to communicate with an inside of the case main body and to rotatably support the case main body. The communicating port is opened on a circumferential face of the housing frame and connected with an image forming part. The conveying rib rotates integrally with the case main body in a first direction so as to convey the waste toner along a direction of introducing the waste toner into the case main body. The conveying screw rotates integrally with the case main body in the first direction so as to convey the waste toner introduced into the housing frame via the communicating port toward the inside of the case main body.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a toner case, a first attached part and a second attached part. The toner case is attachable and detachable to the first attached part and the second attached part. The toner case includes a moving member and driving member. The moving member is capable of moving between a replenishing position and a collecting position. The driving member moves the moving member from the replenishing position to the collecting position with at least one of the attachment of the toner case to the first attached part and detachment of the toner case from the first attached part.
Abstract:
A toner container according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a container body, a rotating member, a conveying member, a film member, and a stepped portion. Container body can store toner thereinside. Container body includes toner conveying path having supply opening through which toner is supplied to the outside. Rotating member is rotatably provided in container body. Rotating member rotates to scoop, into toner conveying path, toner stored in container body. Conveying member is rotatably provided in toner conveying path. Conveying member rotates to convey, toward the supply opening, toner in toner conveying path. Film member is mounted to an inner wall which extends from toner conveying path to an inner side of container body, and projects toward a region in which rotating member rotates. Stepped portion is provided in the inner wall. Stepped portion forms, between stepped portion and film member, a space having a predetermined height.
Abstract:
A sheet conveying apparatus (20) includes a first sheet conveyance passage (3), a second sheet conveyance passage (5), a pair of feed rollers (3r1), a first pair of conveyance rollers (50), and a contact-release mechanism (60). The second sheet conveyance passage (5) branches from a branch section (31) on the first sheet conveyance passage (3). The first pair of conveyance rollers (50) has a first roller (51) and a second roller (52) and conveys a sheet along the first sheet conveyance passage (3). When, in the branch section (31), a sheet is conveyed from upstream with respect to the sheet conveyance direction in the first sheet conveyance passage (3) toward the second sheet conveyance passage (5), the sheet conveying apparatus (20) makes the contact-release mechanism (60) move the second roller (52) away from the first roller (51) and makes the pair of feed rollers (3r1) convey the sheet.
