Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image carrier, a developing device, a toner container, a container cover, a driver and a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism maintains the locking state if the container body is rotated in the first rotating direction by the driver, and receives a rotational drive force of the driver to switch the state thereof from the locking state to the unlocking state if the container body is rotated in the second rotating direction by the driver.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a heat receiving part that absorbs heat from an object to be cooled, a heat radiating part that radiates the heat absorbed in the heat receiving part, a circulation pipe through which coolant is circulated; a storage tank that stores the coolant, and a pump that circulates the coolant between the heat receiving part and the heat radiating part through the circulation pipe. The pump is placed on an upper surface of the storage tank.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a fixing device, output tray, a toner container, a cooling fan, an outer wall, and a downstream branch duct. The toner container is located under the tray and beside the fixing device, and accommodates a toner. The cooling fan is located between the toner container and the fixing device. The outer wall is provided under the output tray so as to cover an upper portion of the toner container, to form an upstream duct that allows air to flow therethrough over the toner container toward the cooling fan. The downstream branch duct conducts the air discharged from the cooling fan to the fixing device, and to a transport route of the recording sheet from the fixing device to the output tray. The outer wall includes a plurality of intake holes for sucking air into the upstream duct.
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus, a duct portion provided on a side surface of a partition wall member on a first space side includes first and second internal passages. The first internal passage allows air that has flowed in from a first air passage to flow and guides the air to a second air passage. The second internal passage allows air that has flowed in from a second air passage to flow and guides the air to a second space via a communication port formed in a partition wall member. A first blower provided in the first space sucks air from the first air passage and blows out the air to the first internal passage. A second blower provided in the second space sucks air from the second air passage and blows out the air to the second space through the second internal passage and the communication port.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a sheet conveyance passage, a photosensitive drum, a transfer unit, a fixing section, a conveyance unit, one or more detection sensors, an airflow generating section, a cooling airflow passage, and a shielding member. The conveyance unit is at an opposite side of the transfer unit from the photosensitive drum with a predetermined clearance from the transfer unit. Each detection sensor is disposed to face the transfer unit in cross section intersecting the axial direction of the photosensitive drum. The sheet detection sensor performs a predetermined detection. The airflow generating section causes a cooling airflow to flow between the transfer unit and the conveyance unit in the axial direction. The cooling airflow passage guides the cooling airflow toward each detection sensor. The shielding member blocks an airflow from a location around the transfer unit toward the cooling airflow passage in a direction intersecting the axial direction.
