Embodiments of this application provide security protection methods and apparatuses. One method includes: obtaining, by a master station, a user plane security policy, wherein the user plane security policy indicates whether to activate a user plane security protection, the master station communicates with a secondary station under a dual connectivity scenario; sending, by the master station, a message comprising the user plane security policy to the secondary station; receiving, by the secondary station, the message from the master station; and determining, by the secondary station, a user plane security algorithm based on the user plane security policy.
Abstract:
A core network delivers two sets of quality of service (QoS) parameters to an access network device. The access network device selects one of the two sets of QoS parameters, and indicates the selected set of QoS parameters to the core network. An air interface rate required by the set of QoS parameters can be supported by a radio access network (RAN). In this way, a QoS parameter applied to a related user equipment (UE), a related bearer, a related packet data unit (PDU) session, or a related QoS flow can be effectively determined, and a hardware capability of an LTE base station does not need to be upgraded. In addition, the core network may set, based on a QoS parameter selected by a RAN side, a corresponding QoS management policy such as a rate adjustment policy, to facilitate data transmission between UE and the core network.
Abstract:
The present application discloses a method, an apparatus and a system for exchanging common E-RGCH information. The method includes: receiving a common E-RGCH information message of a cell managed by a second RNC, where the common E-RGCH information message is sent by the second RNC; selecting a candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set for the UE, where the candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set includes a neighboring cell with an available common E-RGCH feature and the neighboring cell is determined according to common E-RGCH information message sent by the second RNC; and sending common E-RGCH configuration parameter information of each cell in the candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set to the UE.
