Abstract: An information synchronization method includes sending, by a controller, a first message to a network device, where the first message carries control routing protocol (CRP) routing entry information, and is used to advertise a CRP route, and the first message includes first identification information, and after receiving the first message, storing, by a forwarding device, the CRP routing entry information into a CRP routing table of the network device as indicated by the first identification information. Hence, because a route advertised by the controller and a route advertised using a routing protocol between forwarding devices are stored in different routing tables, a related application of the route advertised using the routing protocol between the forwarding devices is not affected.

Abstract: The application disclose a packet processing method that includes: receiving, by a service distribution node, service routing information sent by a controller, where the service routing information includes a flow identifier, a service identifier, and a next-hop address, the flow identifier is used to identify a packet flow, the service identifier is used to identify a sequence of a service node instance that processes the packet flow, and the next-hop address is used to identify the service node instance that processes the packet flow; receiving a first packet; acquiring a first flow identifier according to the first packet, and searching the service routing information according to the first flow identifier to acquire a matched service identifier and a matched next-hop address; and sending a second packet to a first service node instance that has the matched next-hop address, which implements service processing on a packet flow.

Abstract: An information management method includes that a controller generates a first message carrying an address of a first next hop of a network device. The first message includes first identification information. The first identification information instructs the network device to delete, from a next hop table stored in the network device, an entry of the first next hop corresponding to the address of the first next hop. The network device receives the first message, and deletes the entry of the first next hop as indicated by the first identification information. The controller withdraw an unavailable next hop by separately sending information about the next hop to the network device without route prefix information, effectively saving a system resource occupied for route withdrawal message exchanging between the controller and the network device, and improving service processing efficiency.

Abstract: A packet processing method including a traffic classifier receives a first packet; the traffic classifier determines, in policy information in the traffic classifier and according to a first filtering rule that matches the first packet, a first service identifier that matches the first filtering rule, and an address, which matches the first filtering rule, of a first service routing trigger. The traffic classifier sends a second packet to the first service routing trigger. The policy information includes a filtering rule, an address of a service routing trigger, and a service identifier corresponding to the filtering rule. The filtering rule is used to identify a packet, and the service identifier is used to represent a sequence of a service node that processes the packet. The second packet is formed by adding the first service identifier to the first packet.
