Abstract:
The present invention provides a cloud usage assisting apparatus which assists determination of an optimal cloud usage configuration. The cloud usage assisting apparatus calculates changes in performance and cost of a service which are to occur when each of actions is executed and a configuration change is made, based on menu information, storage resource configuration information, and monitoring information, each of the actions being an action in which at least one of the configuration changes of changing of a menu of the storage service involving one cloud, changing of the menu involving different clouds, and changing of a parameter that changes the configurations of the storage resources in the menu are executed on storage resources provided by one or more clouds, and determines the action as a recommended candidate when the action improves at least one of the performance and the cost.
Abstract:
Based on a received operation task and an operation task cost related table, costs are compared in consideration of a cost of an entire operation task in an operation configured by combining plural operation tasks. The operation task cost related table associates a cloud operation task, a dynamic cost parameter indicating a parameter that directly or indirectly affects a cost of an operation task, an impact parameter indicating a parameter that affects costs of other operation tasks due to the operation task, and an impact calculation formula for calculating a change or degree of impact by the dynamic cost parameter or the impact parameter. A user designates an operation task which is an estimation target regarding the cloud, specifies the dynamic parameters corresponding to the designated operation task and the dynamic parameters for other operation tasks including the impact parameters corresponding to the dynamic parameters, and estimates the cost.
Abstract:
An incident management server includes: a failure information receiving unit configured to receive, from a server device that stores a plurality of resources and manages access to each resource based on access authority management information that is information including information of a user who can access each of the resources, information of a failure that has occurred in any of the plurality of resources; an access authority information specifying unit configured to specify a user who accesses a resource in which the failure has occurred in the server device and an access authority of the user when information of the failure is received; and an access authority management information setting unit configured to set information of the specified user and access authority in the access authority management information.
Abstract:
Provided is a management system for managing a relation between a database and a volume without installing an agent. A management system manages a relation between a data catalog and a volume of a storage system storing data to be used by the data catalog. A processor of the management system accesses data that is included in the data catalog and that includes authentication information of the volume; detects the number of accesses to the volume in a time range including a timing of the access to the data; and manages the relation between the data catalog and the volume on the basis of the number of accesses.
Abstract:
An event monitoring system includes a processor and a storage unit. The storage unit holds an event message including a character string related to an event occurring in an information system and guide information including one or more guides. The guide includes a guide message including a predetermined character string, notified in response to the event, and information regarding a coping method for the event. The processor compares the event message and the guide, associates the guide with the event in a case where the guide further includes information for identifying a variable portion of the guide message and a portion other than the variable portion of the guide message coincides with a portion other than a portion corresponding to the variable portion in the event message, and receives an input of information indicating a correct answer of a guide to be associated with the event in a case where the guide does not include the information for identifying the variable portion.
Abstract:
Provided are an event monitoring apparatus and an event monitoring method that make it possible to set a proper threshold without handling monitoring target systems on an individual basis. There are included: a threshold determination program calculating degree of similarity between a ledger guide message and an event message, regarding a maximum value of the calculated degree of similarity as a first threshold, and setting a second threshold that is greater than the first threshold by a predetermined value; a ledger allocation program associating a ledger guide message having the degree of similarity intermediate between the first threshold and the second threshold with the event message; and a threshold evaluation program reporting the degree of similarity to a manager of a monitoring target system when the degree of similarity is higher than the first threshold.
Abstract:
An event management system includes: a rule management table that defines situation occurrence conditions and the type of feedback; a handling instruction sheet allocation unit that, when a new arrival event occurs, extracts a handling instruction sheet to be assigned to the new arrival event, transmits the extracted handling instruction sheet to a terminal, and receives a feedback regarding the success or failure of allocation of the handling instruction sheet from the terminal; and a feedback processing unit that detects whether or not the feedback is erroneous with reference to the rule management table. When an error in the feedback is detected, the feedback processing unit notifies the terminal of the error.
Abstract:
A management computer detecting signs of performance degradation even when virtual computing units are generated and destroyed repeatedly over a short period of time. The management computer manages an information system including one or more computers and one or more virtual computing units virtually implemented on the one or more computers, while detecting signs of degradation of the performance. The management computer acquires operating information from all virtual computing units belonging to one or more autoscaling groups, which generates from the operating information, reference values, each of which is used for detecting signs of degradation of the performance of one of the one or more autoscaling groups, and detects signs of degradation of the performance in each autoscaling group using both the reference values generated and the operating information about the virtual computing units as acquired.
Abstract:
A management computer for managing a management target system comprises an operation situation evaluating part, an operation situation displaying part, an amelioration plan generating part, and an amelioration plan displaying part. The amelioration plan generating part identifies, as an amelioration plan, a business system configuration that ameliorates the operation situation of the business system that is in operation, based on operation situation value calculated by the operation situation evaluating part. The amelioration plan displaying part displays an operation situation that is expected in a case where a business system configuration identified by the amelioration plan generating part is applied, in association with the operation situation of the business system that is in operation.
