Abstract: This application is directed to a method for correct temperature measurement. An electronic device includes a temperature sensor that measures an ambient temperature of an environment and a display that is driven by a display driver. The electronic device determines a brightness setting of the display, estimates a display driver current based on the brightness setting, estimates a driver efficiency of the display driver based on the display driver current, and combines a predetermined display driver voltage, the display driver current, and the driver efficiency to determine a power consumption of the display driver. An ambient temperature correction is determined in accordance with the determined power consumption of the display driver, and the measured ambient temperature is thereby corrected using the ambient temperature correction. In some implementations, a power consumption of a distinct heat-generating electronic component is also monitored for adjusting the ambient temperature correction.

Abstract: The present document describes techniques associated with a textile-material model for vibroacoustic structural simulation. The techniques described herein provide a nontrivial methodology to test a textile and simplify its representation, which can enable prediction of acoustic performance (e.g., rub and buzz) of an electronic-speaker device having a textile mounted thereon. The textile is modeled as a textile-material model based on an elongation stiffness obtained from a time-temperature superposition curve of the textile, which is based on a dynamic mechanical analysis test of the textile in each of course and wale directions. The textile-material model is then applied to an assembly model of the electronic-speaker device to simulate a vibroacoustic response of the textile relative to the assembly model to predict a likelihood of rub and buzz.

Abstract: A battery provisioning method is implemented by an outdoor electronic device having a rechargeable battery. The electronic device obtains geolocation information of a geographic location where the electronic device is located. The electronic device further obtains outdoor temperature information of the geographic location based on the geolocation information. A battery setting of the rechargeable battery is determined based on the outdoor temperature information, and used to provision the rechargeable battery of this electronic device. In some implementations, the rechargeable battery is provisioned with an upper limit for a state of charge at each time of installing and initializing the electronic device. During normal operation, the rechargeable battery of the electronic device is charged up to the upper limit for the state of charge, while the upper limit for the state of charge of the rechargeable battery may be updated periodically or upon request.

Abstract: Various arrangements are presented that detail a wall mounting system for a wireless sensor device, such as a wireless temperature sensor device. A flanged fastener that includes a first flange and a second flange may be present. The first flange can prevent the flanged fastener from being inserted more than a defined distance into a surface. The second flange may be removably insertable into a mounting hole present on a backplate of the wireless sensor. The system can further include a wireless sensor unit that includes the backplate. The wireless sensor is removably attachable to the flanged fastener while the flanged fastener is inserted into the surface.
