Abstract:
A method and apparatus for discriminating the type of packet loss occurring in wireless transmission are provided. The method includes calculating an average arrival interval of packets received during a time period and discriminating the type of packet loss for a lost packet among the packets based on a difference between the calculated average arrival interval and a reference average arrival interval.
Abstract:
A color interpolation method and apparatus for interpolating missing color signals for each pixel of an image sensor. The color interpolation method includes forming a difference image channel by subtracting an R or B color value from a G color value in pixels adjacent to a pixel to be interpolated, detecting the direction of an edge to which the pixel to be interpolated belongs and selecting adjacent pixels to be used for color interpolation. By calculating a weight value indicating the direction of the edge and providing the weight value to the adjacent pixels to be used for color interpolation, and using the difference image values of the adjacent pixels and the weight values, a color component missing in the pixel to be interpolated can be calculated.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for inspecting a display. The apparatus includes a focus matching unit and an image control unit. A reference display receives a signal of a sample image during a first output period and displays a reference image according to the received signal. A target display receives the signal of the sample image during a second output period that does not overlap with the first output period and displays a test image according to the received signal. The focus matching unit may match display positions and sizes of the reference image and the test image. The image control unit may control the signal of the sample image stored in a predetermined memory to be output to the reference display during the first output period and controls the signal of the sample image to be output to the target display during the second output period.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for moving an object between pages is provided. The method includes displaying a first page including an object; generating a first signal in response to the object on the first page being moved to a predetermined area of the first page; displaying a plurality of pages, including the first page, in response to the first signal; generating a second signal in response to the object being moved to overlap with a second page; and moving the object to the second page in response to the second signal
Abstract:
A system, medium, and method to automatically create a dynamic image object, which can create content in image unit groups of dynamic image objects. The system may include a template selection module that selects a template from an image unit group corresponding to a desired content group that includes content, a content-arrangement module that arranges the content in the selected template, and a dynamic image object supply module that supplies a dynamic image object in which the content is arranged.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for providing music file search function. The apparatus includes an input unit that receives an input of an attribute of a music file to be played, an extract unit that extracts a characteristic segment from the music file according to the input attribute, a 3D-sound generating unit that generates 3D sound from the characteristic segment of the music file along a spatial axis corresponding to the attribute, and an output unit that outputs the 3D sound. The method includes the steps of inputting an attribute of a music file to be played, searching a characteristic segment of the music file according to the input attribute, generating 3D sound from the characteristic segment of the music file along a spatial-axis corresponding to the attribute, and outputting the 3D sound.
Abstract:
A system, method and medium playing a moving image, which includes various content objects is described. The system includes a script parser identifying a plurality of objects which form the moving image, a play-time calculation unit determining a framing time position, from among a total play time of the moving image, and a frame-information record unit recording attributes of the objects which exist in the framing time position.
Abstract:
Provided is a system, method and medium reproducing multimedia content in which the display position of an image and one of a plurality of audio channels are corrected with respect to a region selected by a user when multimedia content is reproduced. The system reproducing multimedia content includes a display unit to display an image through a display region divided into a plurality of subregions, an audio output unit to divide audio corresponding to the displayed image into a plurality of channels and to output the audio, a calculation unit to calculate correction values to correct a display position of the image and to correct the audio channels corresponding to a subregion selected by a user, and a signal processing unit to correct the display position and the audio channels based on the calculated correction values.
Abstract:
A method and system of quantitatively evaluating subjective inconvenience, e.g., physiological fatigue and emotional fatigue, experienced by a user when the user views a three-dimensional display screen, based on objectively measurable indices. The method includes sorting words representing a degree of fatigue associated with a 3D image display among a plurality of words, grouping the sorted words through factor analysis, setting words with the highest factor weight as subjective parameters, receiving evaluation scores for the subjective parameters while varying test values of objective parameter candidates capable of representing 3D image characteristics in numerical values, obtaining a correlation between each of indices for N groups and each of the objective parameter candidates using the evaluation scores, and applying the factor weight to the indices to represent the degree of fatigue in the objective parameter candidates.
Abstract:
A method of and apparatus for removing color noise are provided. The apparatus includes a first filtering unit, a subtracting unit, a second filtering unit, and an adding unit. The first filtering unit removes color noise from color data of a first channel among input interpolated color data and outputs filtered color data of the first channel. The subtracting unit calculates a difference between each of input color data of a second channel and a third channel among the input interpolated color data and the filtered color data of the first channel and outputs differential images. The second filtering unit selects an intermediate differential image among the output differential images and previously filtered differential images and outputs filtered differential images. The adding unit adds the filtered color data of the first channel and the filtered differential images and outputs filtered color data of the second channel and the third channel.
