Abstract: An intraocular lens (IOL) injectors and associated methods are described. The IOL injectors may include a collapsible portion configured to reduce the length of the IOL injector when the collapsible portion is altered from an uncollapsed configuration to a collapsed configuration. In some instances, an IOL may be advanced from a storage location to a dwell location when the collapsible portion is altered from the uncollapsed configuration to the collapsed configuration. The IOL injectors may also include a combination push and screw drive.

Abstract: A hybrid power system for delivering an implant to an eye using hydraulic fluid flow or pressure. An implant may be stored, advanced, and delivered to an eye using hydraulic fluid stored in a sterile container through a hollow advancement plunger. The plunger may rigidly advance the implant to a sealed position in a first phase, and then the implant may be advanced into the eye via hydraulic pressure or fluid flow in a second phase. The power system may provide a first cell having a first power density and a second cell having a second power density, wherein the second power density is greater than the first power density. A controller may use the first cell during the first delivery phase and the second cell during the second delivery phase.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for inserting an intraocular lens (IOL) assembly into an eye may be provided. A device for delivery of the IOL into the eye may include a nozzle; a bay adjacent to the nozzle, wherein the bay is configured to contain the lens component and comprises a recess in a shape of a haptic extension; and a cam-actuated mechanism comprising a slider configured to move in a direction toward the nozzle; a side arm moveably disposed within the bay, wherein the side arm is positioned at an end of the slider, the end of the slider comprising a groove aligned with the side arm, wherein the groove extends from an outer edge of the slider into an interior portion of the slider, wherein the groove is angled to receive the side arm as the slider moves.

The IOL cartridge is removably disposed within the passage. The IOL cartridge comprises a nozzle and a compartment configured to receive an IOL. The nozzle is in fluid communication with the compartment. The IOL cartridge further comprises a dial configured to rotate upon withdrawal of the IOL cartridge from the passage, wherein an inner surface of the dial is exposed to the compartment. The dial is configured to fold the IOL and release the IOL cartridge from the packaging upon rotation of the dial.
