Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for a user equipment (UE) to transmit a configured grant (CG) physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) including an uplink control information (UCI) without transmitting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The UE determines, based on a configuration received from the base station, a first set of CG PUSCHs. Each CG PUSCH of the first set of CG PUSCHs overlaps with the PUCCH, and is configured to transmit data from the UE to the base station. The UE further determines a second set of CG PUSCHs by excluding a third set of CG PUSCHs from the first set of CG PUSCHs. and select a CG PUSCH from the second set of CG PUSCHs to carry the UCI contained in the PUCCH. The UE further transmits the selected CG PUSCH including the UCI without transmitting the PUCCH.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for port selection codebook configuration. A user equipment (UE) may decode a channel state information (CSI) report configuration (CSI-ReportConfig) from a base station. The CSI-ReportConfig indicates up to L CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) ports for selection by the UE out of P CSI-RS ports configured for measuring and reporting CSI. The UE determines selected CSI-RS ports out of the P CSI-RS ports. The selected CSI-RS ports include the L CSI-RS ports or less. The UE generates a port selection matrix W1 corresponding to the selected CSI-RS ports. The UE also generates an indication of the port selection matrix W1 to the base station. Abstract: Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for using group based reporting for beam management in a 5G wireless communications system. A user equipment (UE) can determine based on a signal-to-interference-plus noise ratio (SINR) or reference signal received power (RSRP) measurement, a ranking of two or more beam combinations, and transmit the ranking to a 5G node B (gNB). The UE can receive from the gNB, a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) codepoint that identifies a combination of two or more beams, where the TCI codepoint is based at least on the ranking. The UE can receive simultaneous transmissions via the combination, and transmit a report to the gNB that identifies by the TCI codepoint, SINRs that corresponds to the combination. In some embodiments the UE can simultaneously transmit on a second combination identified by a sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI) codepoint.
