A thermoelectric material includes a multiple transition metal-doped type I clathrate crystal structure having the formula A8TMy11TMy22 . . . TMynnMzX46-y1-y2- . . . -yn-z. In the formula, A is selected from the group consisting of barium, strontium, and europium; X is selected from the group consisting of silicon, germanium, and tin; M is selected from the group consisting of aluminum, gallium, and indium; TM1, TM2, and TMn are independently selected from the group consisting of 3d, 4d, and 5d transition metals; and y1, y2, yn and Z are actual compositions of TM1, TM2, TMn, and M, respectively. The actual compositions are based upon nominal compositions derived from the following equation: z=8·qA−|Δq1|y1−|Δq2|y2− . . . −|Δqn|yn, wherein qA is a charge state of A, and wherein Δq1, Δq2, Δqn are, respectively, the nominal charge state of the first, second, and n-th TM.

Interstitial voids of the cubic CoSb3 type skutterudite structure can be filled with sodium and/or potassium atoms. Such filled skutterudites have the general formulas, KyCo4Sb12 and NayCo4Sb12, where y indicates the filling fraction of potassium and sodium, respectively, in the CoSb3 cubic crystal structure, and has a value greater than zero and less than one. Also sodium-filled and/or potassium-filled skutterudites of the general formula, (K, Na)yT4Pn12 are made, where T denotes Fe, Ru, Os, Co, Rh, or Ir; and “Pn” denotes one of the pnicogen elements P, As, or Sb. Again, y has values less than one.

The invention is directed to a menstruum prepositioned type sterile drug-mixing syringe and a menstruum separately positioned type sterile drug-mixing syringe including a shell, a needle, a piston and a push-pull rod assembly. The syringe further includes a menstruum bottle, a solute bottle, a sliding sleeve and a needle loading assembly. The menstruum bottle may be fixed to the inner wall of a sliding sheath, and the solute bottle may be fixed to the inner of the shell. Piston may be disposed within the solute bottle. The sliding sleeve may be socketed to the front end of the shell in advance or disposed by other ways. The mouth of the menstruum bottle may be opposite to the mouth of the solute bottle and may be connected by a needle, which has two piercing tips, wherein the needle punctures and is securely connected to the needle loading assembly.
