Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are described for monitoring and protecting electronic hardware, data assets, and the facility itself, particularly well-suited to monitoring remote facilities and resources in edge locations, including for determining door state for both equipment and personnel doors, and for determining values of one or more environmental parameters, using optical image analytics. An example system includes one or more edge-located hardware monitoring devices having one or more physical sensors, and custom software distributed across edge, cloud, mobile, and enterprise platforms. An example monitoring device can include an embedded computer, various sensors of different types, one or more cameras, a power supply, and several communication interfaces. All or virtually all sensing and processing capabilities can be integrated into the edge device, which utilizes low-cost sensors and video analytics to monitor the environment.

Abstract: A sensor device for detecting voltage in a conductor cable includes a sense electrode to be disposed over a surface of the conductor cable to cover a sense region having a sense axial width and a sense circumferential length and a reference electrode to be disposed over the surface of the conductor cable to cover a reference region. The reference region has an axial position adjacent the axial position of the sense region and has a reference circumferential length greater than the sense circumferential length. The sensor device further includes a charge measurement circuit connected in series between the sense electrode and the reference electrode to measure a charge measurement and circuitry to compare the charge measurement to a threshold to detect a presence of the voltage in the conductor cable.

Abstract: A system includes an asset management system in communication with an asset disposed within a rack, an asset tracking server, a gateway, and a set of equipment racks including the rack in which the asset is disposed. Each equipment rack defines a face. The equipment rack includes an observer device and a location indicator device. The system includes a set of tags attached to assets disposed within the set of equipment racks, a tag of the set of tags attached to the asset. The asset management system is to identify a maintenance event associated with the asset and is to communicate the identity of the asset to the asset tracking server. The asset tracking server is to locate the rack location of the tag associated with the asset and is to communicate with the associated observer device, which is to direct the location indicator device to provide a light signal.

Each tag of the set of tags is to transmit a beacon signal including a tag identifier of the each tag. The at least one antenna is to receive the beacon signal. The observer device is to communicate the tag identifier and the characteristics of the beacon signal to the reader and central server. The central server determines a rack location based on the characteristics of the beacon signal.

Abstract: A monitoring system can receive sensor measurements from a select sensor of a group of sensors. The sensor measurements are compared to group alert condition or an individual alert condition. Based on the comparison, an alert state can be identified and a user notified of the alert state. The system can automatically determine the individual alert condition, which can be uniquely associated with the select sensor and can be associated with a domain of time.
