摘要: A method is provided for use in reducing a size of halo effect in an ophthalmic lens. The method comprises: providing data indicative of a given ophthalmic lens with a first pattern providing prescribed vision improvement, processing said data indicative of the features of the first pattern and generating data indicative of a variation of at least one feature of the first pattern resulting in a second pattern which maintains said prescribed vision improvement and reduces a size of halo effect as compared to that of the lens with the first pattern.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed to lenses, devices, methods and/or systems for addressing refractive error. Certain embodiments are directed to changing or controlling the wavefront of the light entering a human eye. The lenses, devices, methods and/or systems can be used for correcting, addressing, mitigating or treating refractive errors and provide excellent vision at distances encompassing far to near without significant ghosting. The refractive error may for example arise from myopia, hyperopia, or presbyopia with or without astigmatism. Certain disclosed embodiments of lenses, devices and/or methods include embodiments that address foveal and/or peripheral vision. Exemplary of lenses in the fields of certain embodiments include contact lenses, corneal onlays, corneal inlays, and lenses for intraocular devices both anterior and posterior chamber, accommodating intraocular lenses, electro-active spectacle lenses and/or refractive surgery.

摘要: An ophthalmic lens comprising: at least one first optical zone with a first axis, the at least one first optical zone being configured such that, in use with an eye, at least a portion of light passing through the at least one first optical zone is refracted to a first focal point on the first axis; and at least one second optical zone configured such that, in use with the eye, at least a portion of light passing through the at least one second optical zone is refracted to one or more focal points positioned off-axis relative to the first focal point and on at least one focal plane different than a focal plane corresponding to the first focal point; wherein the at least one second optical zone is configured such that the light extending beyond the one or more focal points provides extended depth of focus.

摘要: A phase-adjusting element configured to provide substantially liquid-invariant extended depth of field for an associated optical lens. One example of a lens incorporating the phase-adjusting element includes the lens having surface with a modulated relief defining a plurality of regions including a first region and a second region, the first region having a depth relative to the second region, and a plurality of nanostructures formed in the first region. The depth of the first region and a spacing between adjacent nanostructures of the plurality of nanostructures is selected to provide a selected average index of refraction of the first region, and the spacing between adjacent nanostructures of the plurality of nanostructures is sufficiently small that the first region does not substantially diffract visible light.
