Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a remote radio head may transmit, during a user equipment (UE) RRH discovery procedure with a UE, an RRH identifier to the UE for reporting to a base station (BS) associated with the RRH and the UE; receive, from the BS, communication configuration information based at least in part on transmitting the RRH identifier, wherein the communication configuration information includes at least one of scheduling information or configuration information; and communicate with the UE in accordance with the communication configuration information. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a transport block (TB) of data from a network, decode the TB of data, transmit to the network a first acknowledgement based on a result of the decoding, receive a signal from the network that includes an acknowledgement retransmission request and a TB indication that indicates a TB of data to which the acknowledgement retransmission request relates, determine a second acknowledgement based on the acknowledgement retransmission request and the TB indication, and transmit the second acknowledgement to the network.

Abstract: Aligned listen before talk (LBT) gaps for single operator frame-based equipment (FBE) mode new radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) is disclosed. Within the FBE mode network, the base station determines a plurality of potential transmission bursts within a fixed frame period. The base station may then reserve a plurality of LBT gaps prior to the starting position of each such transmission burst. The base station communicates the location of each of the LBT gaps to all neighboring network entities and contends for access to the fixed frame period at the beginning of the frame regardless of whether it has data for transmission during the frame. Each neighboring base station that receives the LBT gaps locations will use the same locations in order to align the LBT gaps over the FBE mode network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that the UE is configured to use a two-step random access channel (RACH) procedure. The two-step RACH procedure may include an uplink request message and a downlink response. The UE may transmit the uplink request message as part of the two-step RACH procedure, and the uplink request message may include a preamble portion that is one of a set of predefined sequences and a payload portion that includes a physical uplink shared channel waveform. The UE may receive the downlink response as part of the two-step RACH procedure and in response to the uplink request message.

Abstract: Improved signaling of default and scheduled beams in a Channel Occupancy Time (COT) are provided through a base station that indicates a default or scheduled reception (Rx) or transmission (Tx) beam to a UE for use in the COT. As a result, the base station allows the UE to identify its default or scheduled Rx or Tx beam for its scheduled data at earliest at the beginning of the COT, without having to derive the beam from the QCL of the lowest CORESET ID in a dynamically indicated DCI of the latest monitored slot. The UE can thus more rapidly realize the default or scheduled Rx and/or Tx beam in high unlicensed bands (e.g. 60 GHz) and subsequently communicate with the base station in one or more COTs or a portion of a COT using the default or scheduled Rx or Tx beam.

Abstract: Some wireless communications systems may support different types of communications between base stations and user equipment (UEs), such as mobile broadband (MBB) communications and low latency communications. Low latency communications may be associated with bursty and unpredictable transmissions. As described herein, to facilitate low latency communications and limit the latency associated with waiting on appropriate resources for transmitting low latency data, a base station may schedule downlink low latency transmissions on uplink resources or uplink low latency transmissions on downlink resources. Further, to limit the latency associated with scheduling low latency communications, a base station may be configured with a carrier for transmitting preemption indications (PIs) to one or more UEs to reassign resources for low latency communications. Similarly, in some cases, a UE may be configured with a carrier to transmit scheduling requests (SRs) to request resources for low latency communications.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a user equipment (UE) or a base station to transmit and receive single carrier (SC) waveforms (e.g., corresponding to uplink or downlink transmissions) using an SC transmission configuration. In some cases, a UE and a base station may employ an SC configuration to identify resource elements (REs) for uplink or downlink SC signals. Additionally or alternatively, the UE and the base station may employ an SC configuration with a different cyclic prefix (CP) length in order to change a base amount of REs that may be allocated for an SC transmission, where the different CP length may be either static or dynamic. The base station may transmit an indication of an SC configuration to the UE, and the UE and the base station may process corresponding SC downlink or uplink communications according to the indicated SC configuration.

A first wireless device may identify one or more default operating frequencies for communicating over a bandwidth, where the default operating frequencies are predetermined by an antenna array configuration of the first wireless device. The first wireless device may transmit an indication of the one or more default operating frequencies to a second wireless device. The first wireless device or the second wireless device may select communications parameters for communicating over the bandwidth based on the one or more default operating frequencies. The first and second wireless devices may communicate over the bandwidth based on the one or more default operating frequencies.
