Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate the use of reference signals in active TCI switching. One example aspect is a user equipment (UE), comprising: a memory interface; and processing circuitry communicatively coupled to the memory interface and configured to: receive a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) message that includes an activation command indicating a target transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state; decode the activation command within a decoding period, where the decoding period is a time period allocated for the UE to decode the activation command; receive a TCI resource where the TCI resource is a reference signal; perform time and frequency tracking associated with the target TCI state according the TCI resource; and switch to the target TCI state after performing time and frequency tracking.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is served by a serving cell of a network and is configured to measure channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) from a target cell. The UE receives, from the serving cell, a measurement configuration message indicating the UE is to measure CSI-RS from a target cell of the network, wherein the measurement configuration message does not include Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) information for the target cell but further comprises an indication of whether the target cell transmits SSBs. The UE determines, based on at least the measurement configuration message, a time and frequency resource on which the CSI-RS of the target cell are to be transmitted and measures the CSI-RS of the target cell.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to indication of simultaneous RX beams capability and related measurement resource coordination. In an embodiment, a UE is configured to receive, from a base station, a measurement configuration comprising a measurement period for performing measurements on one or more carriers. The UE is further configured to assign measurement resources to the one or more carriers based on a simultaneous RX beams capability, wherein the measurement resources comprise searchers and RX beams during each measurement occasion. The UE is further configured to determine a measurement period scaling factor for the one or more carriers based on the assigned resources. With this capability, the UE can complete L1 and/or L3 measurements and transmit a measurement report to the base station earlier.

The first configuration information indicates a first resource set for an aperiodic Sounding Reference Signal (AP-SRS). The first resource set for the AP-SRS includes a first list of slot offsets. The UE decodes a second configuration information from the network device. The second configuration information indicates a reference slot and a first slot offset of the first list of slot offsets. The UE generates the AP-SRS for transmission to the network device based on the reference slot and the first slot offset.
