In some aspects, a wireless communication device may receive a sidelink communication on a sidelink. The sidelink communication may include at least one of a grant, data received on a resource identified by the grant, a multi-stage grant, a multi-packet grant, or a relaying communication. The wireless communication device may transmit, on the sidelink after a time period since receiving the sidelink communication, a feedback message acknowledging receiving the sidelink communication.     Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a UE to notify a base station about the availability of a relay UE that is not connected to the base station. In one aspect, a first UE or a second UE transmits or receives a relay request of the first UE via sidelink, the first UE being in an RRC connected mode with a base station. The first UE or the second UE receives or transmits, via the sidelink, an indication of relay availability of a second UE in an RRC inactive mode in response to the relay request. The first UE and the second UE receive a configuration from the base station for relay of communication from the base station over the sidelink between the first UE and the second UE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for jointly activating or releasing a plurality of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations using a single downlink control information (DCI) message. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) receiving the DCI message can determine, for each SPS configuration, a number of time slots between an end of the received DCI message and a beginning of one or more downlink (DL) data frames based on a first value contained in the DCI message. The UE can also determine, for each SPS configuration, a number of time slots between an end of the DL data frames and an instance in time at which the UE is to transmit a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) based on a second value contained in the DCI message. In some instances, the single DCI message can also jointly activate or release a plurality of configured grant (CG) configurations.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication. A user equipment (UE) may acquire a triggering synchronization signal block (SSB), which enables the UE to monitor for a floating Type-2 physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and to determine a subset of paging occasions (POs) to monitor. Or, the UE may monitor for a fixed Type-2 PDCCH, where the UE does not require a triggering signal to monitors POs. In another aspect, the UE may monitor for a paging transmission during a monitoring period. The UE may determine the monitoring period based on received signaling. The UE may receive the signaling, during the monitoring period, indicating that the monitoring period is to be ended before a scheduled end of the monitoring period. In this way, the UE may support a continuity requirement associated with downlink reference signaling (DRS) and may support reception of paging in a shared channel.

    Abstract: A configuration to enable a UE to obtain access to an unlicensed frequency channel of the unlicensed frequency spectrum in the event of channel access failures. The apparatus performs a radio link monitoring (RLM) for a first unlicensed frequency channel of an unlicensed frequency spectrum for a transmission from a first base station. The apparatus determines that the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable for the transmission based on a comparison of one or more of a reference signal received power (RSRP), a reference signal received quality (RSRQ), a received signal strength indicator (RSSI), a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR), a signal to noise ratio (SNR), or a channel occupancy or interference metric to a corresponding threshold. The apparatus sends a report to the first base station indicating a failure of the transmission upon determining that the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable for the transmission.

    Abstract: A UE determines to send a transmission to a first base station on a first unlicensed frequency channel. The UE determines, for one or more attempts of a listen before talk (LBT) protocol, whether each attempt is a failed attempt or a successful attempt. The UE determines that the first unlicensed frequency channel is one of unavailable based on the LBT protocol failing due to a number of failed attempts exceeding for a first threshold number of failed attempts or a duration of failed attempts exceeding a first threshold duration, or available based on the LBT protocol being successful. The UE sends a report to the first base station indicating whether the first unlicensed frequency channel is unavailable or available through a unicast radio resource control (RRC) message or a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).

    Abstract: Techniques for supporting peer-to-peer (P2P) communication in a wide area network (WAN) are disclosed. In an aspect, interference coordination between P2P devices engaged in P2P communication and WAN devices engaged in WAN communication may be performed based on a network-controlled architecture. For the network-controlled architecture, P2P devices may detect other P2P devices and/or WAN devices and may send measurements (e.g., for pathloss, interference, etc.) for the detected devices to the WAN (e.g., serving base stations). The WAN may perform resource partitioning and/or association for the P2P devices based on the measurements. Association may include selection of P2P communication or WAN communication for a given P2P device. Resource partitioning may include allocation of resources to a group of P2P devices for P2P communication. The WAN may send the results of association and/or resource partitioning to the P2P devices, which may communicate in accordance with the association and/or resource partitioning results.
