    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support improved assignment techniques for dynamic group common physical control channels. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control message via a group common control channel. The control message may be monitored by a plurality of UEs, and the control message may include one or more control information segments for a set of UEs of the plurality. The control message may include one or more integer values associated with respective control information segments and a prime number. The integer values and the prime number may be configured to address each UE of the set of UEs. The UE may process the prime number, the integer values, and an integer value that corresponds to an identifier (ID) of the UE to determine applicability of the control message to the UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, user equipment (UEs) may communicate over sidelink channels in a shared (e.g., unlicensed) channel bandwidth. A UE may implement sub-channel-based occupancy time sharing for the unlicensed sidelink to improve resource usage. The UE may gain access to the shared channel bandwidth for an occupancy time and may transmit a sharing indicator indicating a portion of resources of the shared channel bandwidth for the occupancy time. The UE may transmit a time-division multiplexing sharing indicator to share a portion of slots of the occupancy time, a frequency-division multiplexing sharing indicator to share a portion of sub-channels of the shared channel bandwidth, or some combination thereof. A UE receiving the sharing indicator may identify the shared resources and may transmit in these shared resources (e.g., without performing a full contention process for an occupancy time).

    Abstract: In an embodiment, an AP executes a CCA protocol to determine whether to begin transmission within a DMTC window of a radio frame having first and second blocks of subframes. The AP transmits a multi-subframe DRS within the DRS subframes that is scrambled in accordance with a CSI-RS scrambling rule that determines how the second DRS subframe is to be scrambled based on whether the first DRS subframe is included among the first block of subframes or the second block of subframes. At least one UE monitors the DMTC window, and descrambles the CSI-RSs in the multi-DRS subframe based on a CSI-RS descrambling rule that determines how the second DRS subframe is to be descrambled based on whether the first DRS subframe is included among the first block of subframes or the second block of subframes.

A base station may identify a first synchronization sequence and generate a second synchronization sequence based at least in part on the first synchronization sequence. The base station may map the first synchronization sequence to a first resource block of a synchronization channel associated with a first frequency sub-band of a shared radio frequency spectrum band and the second synchronization sequence to a second resource block associated with a second frequency sub-band of the synchronization channel. The base station may then transmit the first synchronization sequence and the second synchronization sequence concurrently over the synchronization channel using the first resource block and the second resource block according to the mapping. In some cases, the second synchronization may be generated by applying a first phase shift to the first synchronization sequence.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a discovery reference signal from a base station on an anchor channel. The UE may perform a first random or pseudorandom frequency hopping procedure to identify a plurality of downlink carriers for a first time period. The UE may perform a second random or pseudorandom frequency hopping procedure within the plurality of downlink carriers to select one of the plurality of downlink carriers as the uplink channel for a second time period. The UE may then transmit an uplink communication during the second time period on the selected uplink channel. In some examples, the uplink communication may be transmitted based at least in part on time division multiplexing (TDM) information.
