Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system and method of optimizing one or more paths between an Application Programing Interface (API) gateway and one or more endpoints. Properties associated with each of a plurality of paths between at least one device and an API gateway are collected, and the properties associated with each of the plurality of paths are monitored to determine a current level of performance for each of the paths. Using gathered data, the API gateway can then analyze, using machine learning, the current level of performance for each of the paths and the current load of the at least one device to determine if a corrective action is needed to maintain an optimal performance of the API gateway, the plurality of paths, and the at least one device.

Abstract: Techniques and architecture are described for initializing, reviewing/approving, and deploying changes within a network. Each change is associated with a particular change ticket. When a change needs to be rolled back, the original change ticket may be analyzed to determine what actions need to be performed to roll back the change. A plan of the needed actions may then be presented to a reviewer in a rollback ticket. The original change ticket may be cancelled and a new ticket, e.g., the rollback ticket, may be prepared that includes the plan for the rollback, e.g., the one or more actions needed to roll back the initial change. In configurations, a change ticket may include multiple changes and thus, for rollback, either all the changes associated with the change ticket may be rolled back or only the last change or action that was initially made may be rolled back.

Abstract: Presented herein are stage user replacement techniques that can be performed to facilitate automatic stage user replacement for one or more stage users of an online video conference. In one example, a computer-implemented method is provided that may include providing, to a particular user interface of a particular participant, a management interface element that enables the particular participant to manage the at least one current stage user displayed in a stage display area for a communication session. Upon receiving at least one user interaction via the management interface element, the method may include automatically: replacing the at least one current stage user with one or more new stage users and synchronizing the stage display area of the particular user interface to be displayed on other stage display areas of other user interfaces of other participants of the session.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for detecting deviations from an expected power profile of a device. The method comprises: retrieving a manufacturer usage description (MUD) associated with the device. The MUD includes a power profile associated with the device. An expected power consumption parameter can be determined from the power profile. The method may further comprise monitoring an actual power consumption parameter of the device and comparing the expected power consumption parameter to the actual power consumption parameter. The method may further comprise determining a deviation between the power consumption parameter and the expected power consumption indicated in the power profile, and outputting a notification when the deviation is equal to or greater than a threshold value.

Abstract: A method includes, at a media bridge configured to distribute a plurality of media streams among a plurality of client devices connected to the media bridge over a network, receiving the plurality of media streams from the plurality of client devices via the media bridge. The media bridge connects the plurality of client devices. The method further includes assigning a pair of names for each of the plurality of media streams. The pair of names include a contribution name and a distribution name. The method further includes presenting a first list to the plurality of client devices. The first list including a plurality of the distribution names for the plurality of media streams received from the plurality of client devices. The method further includes providing an indication of a current active speaker within the plurality of media streams via a signaling process.

Abstract: Techniques and architecture are described for providing a configurable security posture for a network device using an extended ownership artifact, e.g., an ownership voucher, an ownership certificate, etc., and a security profile mechanism that scales to user needs and desires for security profiles on network devices, i.e., easily and securely customizable on thousands of nodes of a network. The configurable security posture may be achieved using the manufacturer authorized signing authority (MASA) to issue an ownership voucher with a security bit extension to support security profile additions. Using the MASA service, a user may explicitly decide on various security postures of a given network device and may apply that profile across the fixed or modular chassis of a network of network devices.

    Network path detection and monitoring

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for detecting and monitoring paths in a network. The techniques include causing a source node to generate probe packets to traverse a multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network, for instance. In some examples, the probe packets include entropy values that correspond to individual equal-cost multi-path (ECMP) paths of the network. The probe packets may be received at an SDN controller from a sink node after traversing the network. Analysis of the probe packets allow path discovery and mapping of the entropy values to ECMP paths. The mapping of discovered paths may be used for optimization of network monitoring activities, including second subsequent probe packets over particular ECMP paths based on the mapped entropy values.

Abstract: Techniques for utilizing entropy labels of a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) label stack for performing monitoring operations (e.g., telemetry, performance measurement, OAM, etc.) without altering the MPLS label stack and/or packet path (e.g., ECMP path). The techniques may include determining, by a node of a network, to perform a monitoring operation associated with traffic that is to be sent along a path through the network. In some examples, the node may receive a packet that is to be sent along the path and encapsulate the packet with an MPLS header. The MPLS header may include an entropy label, entropy label indicator, or other label that is capable of carrying a flag indicating the monitoring operation to be performed. The flag may be carried in a TTL field or traffic class field of the label such that the MPLS label stack is not altered to trigger the monitoring operation.
