Abstract: Systems, methods and devices can are provided, which can include configuring one or more bandwidth parts for a secondary cell (SCell) that is in communication with a user equipment (UE). A base station transmits to a UE a first radio resource control (RRC) message including one or more configuration parameters for a first bandwidth part (BWP) associated with a secondary cell (SCell). The UE communicates a first message with the SCell via the first SCell BWP. The UE receives a second RRC message indicating a change from the first SCell BWP to a second SCell BWP to be used for SCell communications. The UE communicates a second message with the SCell via the second SCell BWP.

Abstract: A next generation evolved Node B (gNB) configured to provide an unlicensed bandwidth for communications with a user equipment (UE) performs a listen-before-talk procedure to determine an occupation state of busy or idle for the unlicensed bandwidth. When the occupation state is determined by the gNB to be idle, the gNB signals the UE, via a downlink control indicator (DCI), to conduct a channel access measurement (CAM) on the unlicensed bandwidth, the measurement comprising at least one of an energy detection measurement or a signal quality measurement. A measurement report is received from the UE comprising an indication of the occupation state of the unlicensed bandwidth as determined by the UE.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for configuring full power transmission modes in a UE. The disclosed full power transmission modes include a Mode 0 and a Mode 3, which are enhancements over previous modes disclosed in the 3GPP specification. The UE gathers supported modes and configuration capabilities, such as number of ports and supported coherency schemes, and forwards the configuration capabilities to the network. The network analyzes the received information and selects a supported full power transmission mode based on the UE capabilities. The selection is then transmitted to the UE in a PUSCH-Config message. The UE extracts the selection from the PUSCH-Config message, and configures its radio accordingly.

Abstract: Measurement resources are often limited in 5G and 4G-LTE communications. As a result, SMTC and CSI-RS measurement windows will occasionally be assigned to the same resource elements of a signal frame. This results in a collision that must be resolved, since both measurements cannot be performed simultaneously. The collision can be resolved using restriction, where overlapping resource elements are assigned to either the SMTC or the CSI-RS measurements, or can be resolved using measurement sharing, where overlapping resource elements are divided among the two measurements according to a measurement sharing factor. Various factors, including priority or window periodicity may be taken into account by the measurement rules that dictate collision resolution.

In another embodiment, a gNB generates the PDCCH-Config, ControlResourceSet, or SearchSpace configuration parameter for configuring a UE to receive the repeated PDCCH and employ the multi-beam PDCCH reception.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and a network agree on the use of a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook. The UE receives a plurality of downlink control information (DCI) transmissions during a corresponding plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasions from the base station, wherein each DCI transmission schedules multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions on a corresponding one of a plurality of component carriers (CCs), receives a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) table configuration from the base station, determines a maximum number of PDSCH transmissions per CC based on the TDRA table configuration, groups the plurality of CCs together and determines a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) codebook size based on a number of the multiple PDSCH transmissions, the maximum number of PDSCH transmissions, and a resulting ACK or negative acknowledgement (NACK) for each of the multiple PDSCH transmissions.
