Abstract:
Methods and devices display an interactive notification element at an electronic device. The method comprises detecting an occurrence of an event associated with an application. In response to detecting the occurrence of the event, a notification element is displayed. A user of the device inputs a sequence of one or more gestures to reveal actions he can take in response to the notification element. The device then displays a plurality of action option UI elements, the selection of each action option UI element causing the application to perform a different action.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a messaging user interface on the display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user. The device receives a first message within the messaging session from an electronic device that corresponds to another user included in the messaging session; in response to receiving the first message, the device displays the first message in a first message region in the conversation transcript on the display. The device detects a first input by a first contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a location of the first message region in the conversation transcript; in response to detecting the first input, the device displays an acknowledgement selection affordance at a location in the messaging interface that corresponds to the first message region. The acknowledgement selection affordance displays a plurality of acknowledgement options. The device detects a second input by a second contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a location of a first acknowledgement option in the acknowledgement selection affordance; and, in response to detecting the second input, the device applies the first acknowledgement option to the first message region.
Abstract:
The device displays a messaging user interface on a display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript, a plurality of electronic stickers, and a message-input area. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects a first user input while a focus selector is at a first location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to a first electronic sticker in the plurality of electronic stickers. In response, the device places and displays the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. While the first electronic sticker is displayed in the conversation transcript: the device detects a second user input while a focus selector is at a second location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. In response, the device changes the position, size, and/or rotation of the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a messaging user interface of a messaging application, including a conversation transcript of a messaging session between a user of the electronic device and at least one other user, and an application affordance. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects an input that activates the application affordance. In response to detecting the input that activates the application affordance, the device concurrently displays a launch icon for an application store and a plurality of launch icons for interactive applications. The device detects an input that activates the launch icon for the application store; in response to detecting the input that activates the launch icon for the application store: the device ceases to display the messaging user interface, and displays an application store user interface, including display of at least one interactive application available for download to the electronic device. While displaying the application store user interface, the device detects an input that corresponds to a request to download a first interactive application that is not stored in the memory of the electronic device; and, in response to detecting the input that corresponds to the request to download the first interactive application: the device downloads the first interactive application to the memory; replaces display of the application store user interface with display of the messaging user interface; and adds a launch icon that corresponds to the first interactive application to the display of the plurality of launch icons for interactive applications.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a messaging interface. The messaging user interface includes a search affordance and a conversation between a user of the device and another user. While displaying the messaging interface, the device detects activation of the search affordance. In response, the device ceases displaying the messaging interface and displays a search interface. The search user interface includes a search field and categorized content items. The categorized content items include a content item stored on the device and a content item from the Internet. While displaying the search interface, the device detects selection of a first item in the categorized content items; and, afterwards, displays the first item in the conversation. The device transmits the first item to the device that corresponds to the other user in the messaging session. The other user's device displays the item in a conversation that corresponds to the messaging session.
Abstract:
Techniques for capturing images are described. In one scenario, one or more processors of an imaging device can obtain geodata information and time information associated with the imaging device. The geodata and time information is obtained prior to capturing a first image. Next, one or more second images can be identified from a database of images based on the geodata information and the time information. The processor(s) can be communicatively coupled to the database via a communications network. Additionally, the one or more processors can determine one or more image capture conditions associated with the one or more second images; and automatically modify one or more settings of the imaging device to be used for capturing the first image. The settings can be modified based on at least one of the one or more image capture conditions associated with the one or more second images. Other embodiments are possible.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a display and, optionally, a touch-sensitive surface obtains a collection of media items. In some embodiments, the device determines one or more patterns in the collection based on a comparison between properties of sequentially adjacent items and divides the collection into multiple events that includes a plurality of multi-item events. In some embodiments, the device receives a first request to display a first portion of the collection organized in accordance with a first detailed-granularity level and, in response to the first request, displaying a first plurality of representations of the items. The device receives a second request to display a second portion of the collection organized in accordance with a respective overview-granularity level that corresponds to multiple detailed-granularity levels and, in response to the second request, displays a second plurality of representations of the items.
Abstract:
Some embodiments provide tools that allow a user to share content on one device with multiple other users using different devices. To facilitate the sharing operations, the content sharing tools allow the user to (1) create a shared stream that represents a set of shared content and (2) invite one or more recipients to subscribe to the shared stream. When a recipient subscribes to the shared stream, the set of content is streamed across one or more of his or her devices. The content sharing tools of some embodiments can be used to exchange comments regarding the stream's content.
