    Abstract: An inductive coil capable of providing power to the battery is described. The inductive coil is formed of a length of a wire having a conductive core capable of carrying an electrical current. The conductive core is surrounded by an insulating layer that electrically isolates the conductive core. Portions of the length of wire include a magnetically permeable material that is plated on an exposed surface of the conductive core.

    Abstract: Embodiments describe electromagnetic shielding for wireless charging systems. A wireless charging system includes a transmitter coil configured to generate a magnetic flux, a receiver coil positioned coaxial with the transmitter coil to receive the generated magnetic flux, where electrical interaction between the transmitter coil and the receiver coil generates electric fields, a transmitter shield positioned between the transmitter coil and the receiver coil to intercept some of the electric fields directed away from the transmitter coil and allow the magnetic flux to pass through the transmitter shield, and a receiver shield positioned between the transmitter shield and the receiver coil to intercept some of the electric fields directed away from the receiver coil and allow the magnetic flux to pass through the receiver shield.

    Abstract: A system for inductive power transmission includes at least one interface surface and a plurality of triangular coil elements positioned underneath the interface surface such that at least one edge of the respective triangular coil element is adjacent to an edge of at least one other of the triangular coil elements.     Abstract: Connector assemblies may be space efficient, have a high corrosion resistance, are difficult to damage, reduce or prevent moisture leakage into an electronic device housing the connector assembly, are readily assembled, and are reliable. One example may provide an inductive charging port for transferring electrical energy from a first electric device to a second electronic device. As compared to conventional connector inserts and connector receptacles, these inductive charging ports may have a smaller form factor and consume a reduced volume in an electronic device. Corrosion resistance may be provided by including a protective layer or cover portion over what would otherwise be exposed surfaces of a transformer core. O-rings, gaskets, or other structures may be included to reduce moisture leakage into a device. The inductive charging port may include a low number of parts for a simplified assembly, and thermal management of various types may be used to improve reliability.
