Abstract:
A dispensing apparatus for header-style bags having a housing comprising a rear portion and a front cover connected to the rear portion, and a bag mount attached to the rear portion proximate the top edge thereof, the bag mount structured and arranged to engage the aperture in the packet of bags so as to hang the packet from the bag mount. The front cover is pivotally attached to the rear portion so as to be movable between a lowered, open position providing access to an interior of the housing so that a lower portion of a packet of bags hanging from the bag mount can be received in the interior of the housing, and a raised, closed position in which the housing substantially encloses the lower portion of the packet of bags while the mouth portion of the packet of bags projects above the housing to allow a bag to be grasped at an upper end thereof and removed from the packet.
Abstract:
A bag dispensing assembly according to the present invention has a rack with side protectors, a pack of plastic bags suspended from the rack and a shield assembly pivotally connected to the rack.
Abstract:
A bag storage and loading unit includes a first arm and a second arm substantially parallel with and spaced a distance from the first arm to define an interior space having a width measured between the first and second arms. A first upwardly-open hook member extends laterally from the first arm into the interior space. The first hook member is configured to retain a plurality of handles of a plurality of bags that are in a storage orientation in the interior space. A second upwardly-open hook member extends laterally from the second arm into the interior space. The second hook member is configured to retain one handle of one of the plurality of bags that is in a loading orientation, such that the plurality of bags may be opened with a side-to-side movement.
Abstract:
An apparatus for holding stacks of plastic packaging bags, including a wicket and a securing device for securing the packaging bags to the wicket. The wicket includes a pair of elongated leg members, and a cross-member connecting together the leg members. Each of the leg members has a series of locking portions for selectively locking the securing device to the leg members at pre-determined distances from the cross-member. The securing device includes a pair of securing buttons having a bore sized and shaped to be slidable onto the leg members over the locking portions. The locking portions are pairs of aligned locking tabs shaped to prevent the securing buttons from sliding back off the leg members. A cartridge comprising a plurality of wickets coupled together by break away tabs can be used to automate a bag-stacking operation. The wicket and securing buttons are made to be recycled along with the bags lips left after bags are torn off, reducing waste. The wicket and buttons also provide improved locking of bags, and one wicket is capable of holding varying quantities of bags. A cross-member and securing device having a plurality of apertures allows a pair of elongated leg members to be formed into wickets of various sizes to accommodate different packaging bags.
Abstract:
A bag rack which is configured to support and dispense bags from bag stacks of varying size, wherein a larger size bag pack is positioned to receive a smaller bag pack overlying fashion, the bags positioned so that the smaller bag pack is situated distal the rack and closer to the user, the larger bag pack situated closer to the bag rack, with the smaller pack situated thereupon relative to the user. The rack of the present system comprises contemplates a generally horizontally situated support bar having provided thereon, in slidingly adjustable fashion, support hooks or prongs formed to engage support apertures in the handles of the bags. The exemplary embodiment of the present invention contemplates multiple aligned, horizontally situated support bars which allows the user to selectively mount the support hooks for different sized bag packs at different spacing and heights relative to one another, to optimize the positioning of the various bag packs for optimal dispensing efficiency, while providing diversity as to the size of bag packs which can be dispensed.
Abstract:
A multi-compartment trash storage apparatus assembled from individual components comprising two flat side pieces and a plurality of connecting panels. Each of the side pieces comprises a vertical bar and a plurality of panels projecting at an angle from the vertical bar and disposed one below the other. The panels include a plurality of slots along their bottom, front and back edges. The connecting panels are rectangular comprising top, bottom and a pair of side edges. The side edges are adapted to be snapped in the slots in order to connect the two side pieces and form a plurality of compartments. The assembled apparatus is self-standing and the compartments are located one below the other, inclined at an angle to facilitate easy access and adapted to receive conventional plastic or paper grocery bags.
Abstract:
A stacked assembly of disposable biohazard containment bags having a reinforced holder for displaying and dispensing the disposable biohazard containment bags from a bracket member of a display stand. The display holder is formed from a piece of cardboard folded upward along an upward fold and downward along a pair of downward folds to thereby form a pair of opposing display holder flaps and an integral reinforcement member comprising a pair of opposing reinforcement member flaps. The reinforcement member flaps are fixedly attached to one another and are sandwiched between the display holder flaps and depend downward from an upper portion of the opposing display holder flaps. The disposable biohazard containment bags are stacked together, and are sandwiched between the opposing display holder flaps such that a disposable biohazard containment bag can be detached from the holder by pulling the biohazard containment bag in order to break a frangible perforation.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for packaging items within a container. The container is supported adjacent an indicator which determines the addition of an individual item into the container. The number of items added to a container is accumulated and the accumulated data for each container during a given cycle is stored. The stored data is then communicated to a processing unit for analyzing and use as a management tool within the packaging operation.
Abstract:
T-shirt style and open mouth grocery or merchandise bag packs includes a plurality of plastic bags, each having a central tab located above the bag mouth. The bag pack is suspended from a dispensing rack by a pair of support apertures through the central tab. The tab is designed to rupture at the support apertures when the bag is dispensed from the rack. The tab may have a flattened top and a pair of opposed lateral sides or may have a rounded top. The weakened area may take the form of a cut or a notch. These weakened areas may begin at the support apertures or one of the lateral sides of the flattened top tab or at points below the top most point of the rounded tab. The weakened areas may also be perforations or single openings. The open mouth bags may have a handle opening through the tab.
