Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communications includes a processor and a memory that includes instructions. The one or more processors are configured to execute the instructions to control reception, from a base station, of a first downlink signal using a first bandwidth amount that is based on a first frequency range associated with a particular signal transmitted by the base station. The one or more processors are further configured to execute the instructions to initiate transmission, to the base station, of a first uplink signal using a second bandwidth amount. The second bandwidth amount is less than the first bandwidth amount, and the second bandwidth amount is based on a second frequency range associated with an uplink channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for selecting a PRACH occasion (RO) based on downlink quality, access congestion, latency (e.g., time to next available RO), beam correspondence, random access in previous transmissions, or combinations of these factors. The user equipment (UE) may detect access congestion of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) and select the less congested SSB in the RO selection. The UE may detect the access congestion by receiving a back-off indicator from the base station, detecting a contention resolution failure, or the number or media access control (MAC) subheaders in a random access response. In some cases, the ROs associated with different SSBs have different latencies and the UE may select the earliest available RO.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for a thin control channel structure that can be utilized to enable multiplexing of two or more data transmission formats. For example, a thin control channel may carry information that enables ongoing transmissions utilizing a first, relatively long transmission time interval (TTI) to be punctured, and during the punctured portion of the long TTI, a transmission utilizing a second, relatively short TTI may be inserted. This puncturing is enabled by virtue of a thin channel structure wherein a control channel can carry scheduling information, grants, etc., informing receiving devices of the puncturing that is occurring or will occur. Furthermore, the thin control channel can be utilized to carry other control information, not being limited to puncturing information. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration of a minimum slot offset based at least in part on a determination of a minimum wake-up signal (WUS) gap capability associated with the UE, wherein the minimum WUS gap capability corresponds to a capability of the UE to support a WUS gap having a minimum gap size, wherein the minimum slot offset indicates a minimum time period between a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) occasion and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) occasion scheduled by the PDCCH; and monitor the PDCCH occasion for a downlink grant based at least in part on the configuration. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for cancelling transmissions during handover operations. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) can cancel at least a portion of a first uplink transmission where the first uplink transmission overlaps with a second uplink transmission scheduled by a target cell in a dual active protocol stack (DAPS)-based handover (HO). In another aspect, a network can receive, from the UE, a capability indicating whether cancelling uplink transmission from a source cell in DAPS-based HO is supported, and the network can schedule an uplink transmission for the UE during the DAPS-based HO to the target cell based on the capability.
