摘要: A signal detection methodology is provided to determine from a waterfall image where the signal occurred on the frequency spectrum, when it occurred, and what type of modulation the signal is. The methodology includes converting a waterfall image into a first binary image version of the waterfall image; removing noise spikes from the first binary image version of the waterfall image; removing vertical gaps in the first binary image to thereby create an intermediate image version of the first binary image; converting the intermediate image version of the first binary image into a second binary image; identifying location parameters of a signal of interest within the second binary image; and isolating, using the identified location parameters, the signal of interest in the waterfall image to generate an isolated image of the signal of interest.

A reference function processing part includes a data interval generation part for cutting out input signal from a load cell into time-domain data interval by cutting out the input signal of a predetermined time length, a reference function determining part for determining a reference function to be used in a transform process, and a transform part for transforming the interval data using the reference function. Considering the approximately straight lines near the two ends of the data interval, the reference function is a third degree polynomial function with tangents overlapping with the approximately straight line at both ends of the data interval.

摘要: A sensing system and a sensing signal measuring method thereof are provided. The sensing system includes a signal source, a connecting device, a frequency sweep circuit, and a controller. In the method, the signal source is activated to generate a specific signal. The controller controls the frequency sweep circuit to switch a frequency band of a frequency sweep signal to a first frequency band corresponding to each of a plurality of types of multi-point sensors. The controller receives a sensor signal of each multi-point sensor through the connecting device, where the sensor signal is a variation of a measurement signal output by each multi-point sensor in response to the specific signal and the frequency sweep signal. The controller executes an adaptive algorithm on the sensor signal to construct a correspondence between an eigenvalue of each multi-point sensor and a location of the first frequency band, and records the correspondence.

摘要: A method and apparatus for estimating the frequency of a dominant periodic component in an input signal by modelling the input signal using auto-regressive models of several different orders to generate candidate frequencies for the periodic component, generating synthetic sinusoidal signals of each of the candidate frequencies, and calculating the cross-correlation of the synthetic signals with the original signal. The frequency of whichever of the synthetic signals has the highest cross-correlation with the original signal is taken as the estimate of the frequency for the dominant periodic component of the input signal. The method may be applied to any noisy signal which has a suspected periodic component, for example physiological signals such as photoplethysmogram signals, and in the estimation of heart rate and breathing rate from such physiological signals.

When sampling a measurement signal with a predetermined sampling rate, aliasing effects may occur, if a Nyquist condition is violated. For this purpose, the present invention suggests to analyze a frequency spectrum of a signal and to compare the frequency components of the spectrum with the setting of a measurement apparatus, in particular a sampling rate of the measurement apparatus. If a measurement signal comprises frequency components which may violate the Nyquist condition, an alert may be generated to adapt the set of the measurement arrangement.
