    Abstract: A top-fill hummingbird feeder is provided having a nectar container with a liquid flow opening at a lower end and a removable cap at an upper end, a feeding basin positioned below the nectar container, and a sealing mechanism associated with the liquid flow opening and the feeding basin. The sealing mechanism includes a bottle seal assembly configured for removable coupling with a base of the feeding basin, and a float valve captured by said bottle seal assembly to prevent rotation thereof while allowing the float valve to move upwardly and downwardly with changing nectar levels in the feeding basin. The float valve includes a float having a frame with a buoyant member mounted thereon, the buoyant member being made of a closed-cell foam.

    Abstract: A bird fluid feeder device may include a storage bottle having a bottle cavity and a bottle base, and a liquid tray having a tray support wall and a feed cavity. A base container may be removably coupled to the liquid tray, the base container having a pass-through aperture and a container wall. The container wall may cover the feed cavity, and the bottle base may be received in the pass-through aperture and removably coupled to the tray support wall. At least one container aperture may be disposed in the container wall, and the container apertures may enable fluid communication through the container wall to the feed cavity. The storage bottle, base container, and liquid tray may be supported by a holder bracket having a first upper support arm for contacting the storage bottle and by a lower support arm contacting the liquid tray.

    Abstract: An improved, self-balancing water distribution system uses siphon characteristics to maintain negative pressure within the water system and to enable distribution of water to one or more distribution points, such as drinker lines with drinker nipples, at a controlled pressure, for consumption by poultry. The system includes water conduit connected to and configured to distribute water from a water supply reservoir to the one or more distribution points. The water level of the water supply reservoir is used to control the water pressure within the system. A vacuum apparatus is connected to the water conduit to remove entrapped air within the system to help maintain negative pressure within the conduit and throughout the system.

    Abstract: An electrically-controlled water flow regulator for use with a poultry watering system receives potable water at a first, high flow rate and reduces the water flow rate of the water provided to watering valves that dispense water to the flock within a poultry house. A variable control valve uses a needle-shaped cone to engage a mating port inside the housing of the regulator. A motor controls the linear movement of the control valve in incremental steps to adjust the water flow rate provided to the flock. A feedback component enables the variable control valve to maintain the water flow rate at a desired set point for the flock. The desired set point for the flock is controlled or automated to match the growth of the flock over their growth cycle. An electrical controller and suitable cabling enable multiple regulators to be controlled efficiently and cost-effectively.

    Abstract: A bird propelled rotating hummingbird feeder. A pivot housing includes a central axis and a central hole. A plurality of fins is configured as dual opposing fin sets, where each fin is angled at an oblique angle with respect to a plane passing perpendicularly through the central axis and each fin set comprises at least three angled fins attached to the pivot housing so as to be symmetrically located opposite the other dual opposing fin set with the pivot housing centered between the dual opposing fin sets.
