In one embodiment, a connecting member connects the first and second combs and the support member is spirally wrapped around the connecting member. In yet another embodiment, an elastic unit connects the first and second combs, and the hair strands are operatively coupled to the elastic unit. The elastic unit includes a first base band operatively coupled to the first comb, a second base band operatively coupled to the second comb, and a plurality of elastic strips extending between the first base band and the second base band to connect the first base band and the second base band.

摘要： A method for making and pony tail holder for securely holding the hair of a user includes a band of elastic material with fabric ring substantially surrounding the band. A portion of the band can be exposed through a pair of apertures in the fabric. The apertures are separated by a bar tack stitch. The exposed band is pulled out of the apertures in the fabric ring to form a loop in the band and concomitantly causes concentric shrinking of the fabric ring central opening. A ponytail or other object can be placed through the loop of the exposed band. The exposed band can then be twisted to form additional loops to pull the ponytail through to tighten the hold on the ponytail. The ponytail can be optionally placed through the central portion of the fabric ring and held securely in place. The fabric ring is not twisted permitting a decorative design to be displayed without obstruction.

摘要： A hair clip includes a low profile clip mechanism which translates linear pressure on the ends of the clip into rotational action for opening the curved comb moldings. Springs cause the clip to close when pressure on the clip ends is removed. The barrel of the clip may comprise sections which are fixed with respect to the clip ends and sections which are attached to the comb moldings, and which are rotated by the clip mechanism. Or, the barrel may comprise alternating sections attached to each comb molding. Removable decorative attachments attach to the fixed portions of the barrel of the clip, via magnets, snap on grips, velcro.TM. or the like.

摘要： The present invention provides a system for adding height to the hair at the crown of a wearer's head, which system is easy to use. The system may comprise two hair inserts which can be identical to each other. Each insert is formed by attaching a natural-looking hair piece to the main bar of a comb. The system is inserted by the wearer gathering the natural hair at the crown of her head, inserting one insert from each side of the gathered hair, such that the teeth of the combs intermesh, frictionally engaging the system in the wearer's hair. Finally, the wearer's natural hair can be arranged over the inserted hair pieces so that the system is completely hidden from view. The system is typically hidden from view beneath the wearer's natural hair. However, as the system incorporates natural or synthetic hair covering the main bars of the combs, if the system should become visible, it will not be greatly noticeable or cause embarrassment to the wearer.
