Abstract:
Provided is a method and system for authenticating object delivery including the steps of receiving by an object receiver an object delivery information package from an object deliverer over a call network during a communication between the object receiver and the object deliverer, wherein the object delivery information package comprises object information and object deliverer identity information, receiving by the object receiver an object from the object deliverer, and authenticating the receipt of the object by the object receiver using the object information and object deliverer identity information.
Abstract:
A method and system for providing a transaction using a telephone with a printer, includes: establishing a plurality of communications sessions between a first party and a second party to the transaction, where the first party comprises the telephone with the printer; conducting the transaction over a first communication session; and receiving a note by the first party from the second party over a second communication sessions, wherein the note comprises information about the transaction. In one embodiment, the first and second communication sessions exist simultaneously. In one embodiment, the first communication session is a voice session, and the second communication session is a data session. The note is then printed using the telephone with the printer, and a confirmation is sent from the first party to the second party to confirm the printing of the note.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention include methods and apparatuses for adjusting audio content when more multiple audio objects are directed toward a single audio output device. The amplitude, white noise content, and frequencies can be adjusted to enhance overall sound quality or make content of certain audio objects more intelligible. Audio objects are classified by a class category, by which they are can be assigned class specific processing. Audio objects classes can also have a rank. The rank of an audio objects class is used to give priority to or apply specific processing to audio objects sin the presence of other audio objects of different classes.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and system for displaying video from a plurality of video streams on a display. It includes an input interface for receiving video data from a plurality of video streams and transferring the video data to a frame controller in communication with a television display. The frame controller causes the video data from each of the plurality of different video streams to be displayed in a separate frame on the television display, and each frame occupying an area of the television display separate from an area occupied by any other frame. The frame controller displays a channel group on the television display. The channel group comprises a list of channels sharing at least one common attribute.
Abstract:
A system and method for switching a voice call from an Instant Messaging (IM) based voice network to a cellular voice network. A telephone adapted to switch a voice call from an Instant Messaging (IM) based voice network to a cellular voice network.
Abstract:
A moving device includes a first camera, a second camera, and a controller. The first and second cameras capture first and second images at a first time and includes first and second object images of an object, respectively. The controller: receives the first and second images from the first and second cameras; retrieves the first and second object images in the first and second images, respectively; determines first and second object image sizes of the object in the first and second object images, respectively; calculates an object distance between the first camera and the object using the camera distance between the first and second camera and the first and second object image sizes; determines whether the object distance satisfies criteria of a detection policy; and (f) if so, apply an action associated with the detection policy.
Abstract:
A system includes first and second cameras capturing first and second images, which include first and second object images of an object. A controller obtains a camera distance between the first and second cameras, receives the first and second images from the cameras, and retrieves the first and second object images in the first and second images. The controller determines first and second object image sizes of the object in the first and second object images, where the first object image size is a different size from the second object image size. The controller then calculates a first object distance between the first camera and the object using the camera distance, the first object image size, and the second object image size.
Abstract:
A network monitor system collects log entries from network appliances in the data network, each log entry including a quantity context related to an activity or a resources usage and a value of the quantity context. The network monitor system receives a spoken question inputting by a user and processes the spoken question. The network monitor determines a question context included in the spoken question, including a quantity entity context, compares the question context with given log entries, and for matching given log entry, stores the quantity context and the value of the quantity context in the given log entry as a result entry in a result entries list. The network monitor system further composes a response according to the result entries and outputs the response for playing to the user.
Abstract:
A network monitor system collects log entries from network appliances in the data network, each log entry includes a quantity context, a first time context, a first name context, and a value of the quantity context. The network monitor system receives a spoken question inputting by a user and processes the spoken question to determine a question context in the spoken question. The question context includes a second name context, a second time context, and a quantity entity context. The network monitor system compares the question context with one or more given log entries. For each match, the network monitor system stores the quantity context and the value of the quantity context in the given log entry as a result entry in a result entries list. The network monitor system composes a response according to the result entries and outputs the response for playing to the user.
