    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to techniques for sharing audio data. In some examples, while displaying a first user interface including controls for an audio media application, receiving a request to display a user interface for selecting one or more devices. In response to receiving the request to display the user interface, displaying a second user interface. If a source electronic device is connected to a first external device and a second external device, displaying a first affordance indicating that audio data from the audio media application is configured to be provided concurrently to the first external device and the second external device. If the source electronic device is connected to the first external device, displaying a second affordance indicating that audio data from the audio media application is configured to be provided solely to the first external device.

    Abstract: Examples of multi-user configuration are disclosed. An example method includes, at an electronic device: receiving a request; and in response to the request: if the voice input does not match a voice profile associated with an account associated with the electronic device: causing output of first information based on the request using a first account associated with the electronic device; if a setting of the electronic device has a first state, causing update of account data of the first account based on the request; and if the setting has a second state, forgoing causing update of the account data; and if the voice input matches a voice profile associated with an account associated with the electronic device: causing output of the first information using the account associated with the matching voice profile; and causing update of account data of the account based on the request.

    Abstract: A method performed by a first device, which includes performing an audio call with a second device by transmitting a microphone signal as an uplink signal and receiving a downlink signal for driving a first speaker and while performing the audio call, performing a joint media playback session in which both devices independently stream a piece of media content for synchronous playback such that both devices receive an audio signal of the piece of media content for driving respective speakers at the same time, determining that a voice activity detection (VAD) signal indicates that the downlink signal includes speech, in response to determining that the VAD signal indicates that the downlink signal includes speech, processing the audio signal of the piece of media content by applying a scalar gain, and driving the first speaker with a mix of the downlink signal and the audio signal.

An example method includes, at a first device with a communication device: performing an audio timing synchronization process that includes: transmitting, via the communication device, to a second device, a request for the second device to participate in the audio timing synchronization process; subsequent to transmitting the request to the second device, causing an output of an audio tone; subsequent to causing the output of the audio tone, receiving data from the second device based on the audio tone; and adjusting an audio timing synchronization setting of a third device based at least in part on the data received from the second device.
