Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) reports, to a network entity, a minimum number of symbols of a positioning reference signal (PRS) resource of a first transmission-reception point (TRP) of a pair of TRPs based on a reference signal time difference (RSTD) uncertainty parameter for the pair of TRPs, wherein the minimum number of symbols is less than a total number of symbols allocated for the PRS resource, and performs a positioning measurement of the minimum number of symbols of the PRS resource.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a request to provide an enhanced positioning measurement report comprising a positioning measurement and further comprising a report of components of a channel power delay profile (PDP), a report of a probability distribution of times of arrival (ToA), or both. The UE may determine an enhanced measurement period required by the UE to perform the enhanced positioning measurement, wherein the enhanced measurement period is longer than a standard measurement period required by the UE to perform a non-enhanced positioning measurement. The UE may perform the enhanced positioning measurement using the enhanced measurement period. The UE may provide the enhanced positioning measurement report to the network entity.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a first node (e.g., a UE or a BS) performs a channel response measurement on a reference signal for positioning (e.g., UL reference signal such as SRS for positioning, or a DL PRS). The first node determines, for each of a plurality of peaks detected within the channel response measurement, peak-specific information comprising at least peak magnitude data that is based on a peak magnitude relative to a reference value. The first node reports the peak-specific information for the plurality of peaks to a second node (e.g., a BS, UE, or LMF). The second node receives the peak-specific information, and determines a positioning estimate for a UE based on the peak-specific information.

In another aspect, a reduced-capability UE transmits, to at least one premium UE, a request to perform one or more positioning measurements of one or more downlink reference signals, receives, from the at least one premium UE, a measurement report comprising the one or more positioning measurements, and determines a location estimate of the reduced-capability UE based on the one or more positioning measurements in the measurement report.

Abstract: A communication device includes a processor configured to: transfer, via a transceiver, a wireless data signal within a communication frequency range; determine a capability of the communication device to measure a wireless radar signal received via the transceiver, the wireless radar signal having a frequency within the communication frequency range; transmit, via the transceiver to a network entity, a first indication of the capability of the communication device to measure the wireless radar signal, the first indication being indicative of a transmit power level of the wireless radar signal from a source of the wireless radar signal or a received power level of the wireless radar signal at the communication device; receive, via the transceiver, the wireless radar signal; determine a positioning measurement of the wireless radar signal; and transmit a second indication of the positioning measurement via the transceiver to the network entity.

The UE may receive, from the base station, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) communication with orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) precoding. The UE may decode the PDCCH communication with OTFS precoding based at least in part on the configuration of the control region in the delay-Doppler domain. Numerous other aspects are described.
