Abstract: When a packet in which a “Static part” is changed is detected in a session established in a bearer, it is possible to prevent the packet from being discarded. A radio base station (eNB) according to the present invention includes a communication control unit (13) configured to control communication via a session (an RTP session or an RTCP session) with a mobile station (UE). The communication control unit (13) is configured such that, when a change in a “Static part” in a header of a received packet is detected, even if adding a new session to transmit the packet makes the number of sessions established in a bearer (#1) exceed a capability of the radio base station (eNB) or the mobile station (UE), the communication control unit (13) transmits the packet via the new session.

Abstract: In an aspect, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for emergency call detection at a user equipment (UE) are provided. The apparatus detects an incoming emergency call at the UE from an emergency service authority, and determines a time duration between an outgoing emergency call from the UE and the detected incoming emergency call from the emergency service authority. Further, the apparatus answers automatically the incoming emergency call from the emergency service authority based on the determined time duration. Moreover, the apparatus obtains a live stream of at least one of sound captured through a microphone of the UE or images captured through one or more cameras of the UE upon answering the incoming emergency call. Additionally, the apparatus sends the obtained live stream of the at least one of the captured sound or the captured images to the emergency service authority during the incoming emergency call.

Abstract: A method in one embodiment includes intercepting a message in an on-board unit (OBU) of a vehicular network environment between a source and a receiver in the vehicular network environment, verifying the message is sent from the source, verifying the message is not altered, evaluating a set of source flow control policies associated with the source, and blocking the message if the set of source flow control policies indicate the message is not permitted. In specific embodiments, the message is not permitted if a level of access assigned to the source in the set of source flow control policies does not match a level of access tagged on the message. In further embodiments, the method includes evaluating a set of receiver flow control policies associated with the receiver, and blocking the message if the set of receiver flow control policies indicates the message is not permitted.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improved e911 call handling. The system enables users to create multiple categories of callers. When a user makes a 911 (emergency) call, different categories of users receive different treatment. A call from a public safety access point (PSAP), for example, can receive a recorded message or a text message indicating that the user is already connected to a PSAP. A caller on a favorites list may also receive the same, or similar, treatment. General callers, on the other hand, can be sent to voicemail, as is currently the practice for all callers. The system can enable callers to be informed as to why the user is not answering, rather than being sent to voicemail with no explanation. The system can be used to provide this additional information to family members, business contacts, PSAPs, and other important callers.

Abstract: In a multi-PHY, low power and lossy network comprising a plurality of nodes, a sender determines that a dwell time threshold limit for transmission of data will be exceeded by transmission of the data over a first network interface or that the recipient is unknown. The sender determines transmission parameters for the transmission of the data over the first network interface and transmits the transmission parameters to a receiver device over a second network interface that is different than the first network interface. The sender determines a channel on the first network interface for transmission of the data and transmits the determined channel with the transmission parameters to the receiver, or the receiver determines the channel on the first network interface for transmission of the data and transmits an indication of the determined channel to the sender in response to receiving the transmission parameters.
