Abstract:
An auto adjusting flame spreader system for a gas burner in a gas operated oven, includes a flame spreader, a flame spreader retaining system configured to movably retain the flame spreader in the gas operated oven in proximity to the gas burner, and a flame spreader positioning system configured to automatically adjust a position of the flame spreader on the retaining system relative to the gas burner responsive to a the temperature of the oven.
Abstract:
A cooking appliance a gas burner configured to generate a quantity of heat is disclosed. The cooking appliance also includes a pressure sensor operable to measure the pressure of gas supplied to the gas burner from a gas control valve. The gas control valve is operable to adjust the supply of gas to the gas burner based on the measured pressure of the gas.

Abstract:
A gas cooking range having a first oven and a second oven positioned above the first oven. A cooktop is positioned between a manifold and an upper panel. The cooktop includes a gas burner. The manifold has mounted thereto a knob operable to control the gas burner.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a flammable fluid fuelled heater providing a flueless option with the provision of a catalytic converter in a secondary combustion chamber. Additionally, the heater is provided to give a substantially yellow flame typical of a traditional log fireplace and an open front to the heater. To control emissions, a catalytic converter is provided on the exhaust and the open front is sized to minimise spillage out the open front of the unit.Additionally, a heater collector is provided over the primary combustion chamber to collect heat and direct this towards the secondary combustion chamber to provide a sufficient environment for operation of the catalytic converter.
Abstract:
An artificial log assembly is disclosed. The artificial log assembly includes first and second concrete portions and a ceramic portion disposed between the first and second concrete portions. The concrete portions are easily and economically formed to an appearance of natural firewood, and the ceramic portion provides a "glowing effect" of burning embers when heated. Also disclosed is a log assembly system utilizing dual gas burners of different flame temperatures.
Abstract:
A ribbon-type, gas-fired burner head usable as a heat source, which head may also be combined with a refractory body to form an infrared radiation heater. The burner head includes a pair of parallel plates having a circular, oblong or other configuration having a continuous contour free of discontinuities, and a stack of continuous corrugated ribbons having the same configuration sandwiched between the peripheral margins of the plates to define an internal fuel chamber. Fed into this chamber through an inlet nipple attached to one of the plates is a mixture of pressurized combustion air and gaseous fuel in a stoichiometric ratio, the mixture being expelled from the chamber through a continuous array of minute jet openings created by the stack of ribbons. By igniting the expelled mixture, there is projected from the head a generally planar, omni-directional flame whose intensity is substantially uniform in all directions.
Abstract:
A method of heat treatment of foodstuff in which a stream of oxygen-containing gas and fuel is passed over one or more catalysts to raise the temperature of the gas stream and the resulting hot, gas stream is contacted with foodstuff in which a proportion of the total fuel may be injected initially and a further proportion or proportions of fuel is subsequently injected preceding passage of the gas and fuel stream over a catalyst and the gas and fuel stream may be passed over catalysts in parallel or in series or so that a portion is continually divided off from the main stream flowing to a main catalyst and passed over a subsidiary catalyst and returned to a point in the mainstream upstream of where it was divided off.
Abstract:
A floor model space heater intended for use in heating air by coming in direct contact therewith consisting of a frame supporting three hollow open ended cylindrical tubes extending in stacked vertically spaced apart positions on the frame, one tube above another, the lower tube having a combustion chamber at the inlet end thereof into which is inserted a nozzle disposed axially thereof and adapted for injecting fuel to be ignited into the combustion chamber, the opposite end of the bottom tube connected to the adjacent end of the middle tube with the opposite end of the middle tube connected to the adjacent end of the top tube so as to direct the burning gases from the combustion chamber through the tubes to be discharged from the outlet end of the top tube which may be connected to a chimney or the like for proper disposition of the burned gases.
