Abstract:
A disc brake in which three pistons are arranged respectively on both sides of a brake disc to miniaturize the disc brake and to enhance the merchantability of a motorcycle by simplifying the appearance shape of the disc brake. A first oil passage provides a communication with first and second oil pressure chambers respectively facing back surfaces of the first and second pistons. A second oil passage provides a communication with third, fourth, fifth and sixth oil pressure chambers respectively facing back surfaces of the third to sixth pistons. The first and second oil passages are formed inside of a caliper body.
Abstract:
An electric parking brake control apparatus includes: an electric parking brake actuator that pulls cables connected to respective parking brake units of wheels; a brake actuator that controls braking pressures applied to the wheels by service brakes; a pressure-increase control unit that controls the brake actuator to increase the braking pressures to a predetermined value, when a tension of the cables falls below a predetermined target tension after the cables are pulled until the target tension is achieved; and a tension-increase control unit that controls the electric parking brake actuator to pull the cables until the tension of the cables exceeds the target tension, after the brake pressures are increased by the pressure-increase control unit.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a brake system creating redundancy in electromechanical brakes. At least two drive units are provided at each single brake for activation of the brake. The at least two units may be controlled and/or energized separately. To safeguard the function the control and/or energy source systems are formed in two nets. The at least two units of each brake are connected to separate nets. The at least two units may be separate electrical motors.
Abstract:
A bicycle cable seal fitting seals a portion of an inner wire that is connected to a cable-operated device casing. The bicycle cable seal fitting includes a mounting member and an elastic seal member. The mounting member has a fastening portion to be fastened to the casing, and an inner wire guiding passage with a funnel shaped section that widens as it extends towards the fastening portion. The seal member includes an attaching portion, and a seal portion forming a sealing passage that communicates with the inner wire guiding passage. The seal portion includes a first section with a first width and a second section with a second width that is smaller than the first width of the first section to contact an outside surface of the inner wire passing therethrough. The first section is disposed between the funnel shaped section and the second section.
Abstract:
A hard-brake structure which includes a securing seat having a side edge provided with a plurality of teeth, a pulling shaft seat pivotally connected with the securing seat by a pivotal shaft, a pulling shaft having a pivotal section pivotally connected with the pulling shaft seat, a positioning toothed block pivotally connected with the pulling shall seat, a resilient member having a first end fixed on the pulling shaft seat and a second end bearing against the interlinking section of the positioning toothed block, an interlinking block fitted in the sliding slot and the hole and capable of moving in the sliding slot and the hole, a pulling block having a first end protruded out of the opening of the pulling shaft and a second end connected with a linking rod, and a spring mounted on the linking rod of the pulling block.
Abstract:
A brake includes a braking portion for braking a rotatable element, a swinging portion secured with the braking portion, a resilient portion integrally formed with the swinging portion for generating a restoring force to make the braking portion contact the rotatable element, and a forced portion for being operated to counteract the restoring force and rotate the braking portion via the swinging portion. When the forced portion is acted, the resilient portion is compressed and the braking portion is driven to separate from the rotatable element, and when the forced portion is free, the resilient portion restores to drive the braking portion to contact with the rotatable element.
Abstract:
A brake assembly including a caliper body that clamps brake pads against a rotor. The brake includes a support bracket defining a planar portion, a bridging portion and a pair of rails. The bridging portion extends in a generally perpendicular direction from the planar portion. The pair of rails extends from the bridging portion. Each of the rails has an inside face, an outside face, a top face, a bottom face and an outboard face. The inside face, the outside face, the top face and the bottom face are aligned in generally a perpendicular direction relative to the planar portion. A first dimension defining a length between the inside face and the outside face near the top face is less than a second dimension defining a length between the inside face and the outside near the bottom face.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a disc brake, especially for a utility vehicle, said disc brake comprising a caliper which is provided with a brake disc able to interact with brake linings and is fixed to a brake anchor plate in such a way that it can be axially displaced in relation to the brake disc. To this end, guiding struts on which the caliper is guided are fixed to the brake anchor plate, each guiding strut being enveloped by bellows fixed on both sides, in the region formed between the caliper and the brake anchor plate. The inventive disc brake is embodied in such a way that the peripheral head regions of the folds of the bellows facing the guiding strut have a peripheral contour deviating from the circumference of the guiding strut.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a “bicycle structure with concealable brake”, comprising a brake and a frame. The frame is a front fork having a positioning hole positioned on the joint of two fork portions for the brake to be pivotally disposed therein. In addition, the positions near the upper ends of the two fork portions on the front fork of said bicycle set two containing holes for respectively containing two brake pads of the brake; moreover, the activation of a brake cable of the brake enables the two brake pads to respectively extend out of the containing holes and clip a bicycle rim.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disc brake operable to apply a clamping force to a rotatable disc. The disc brake includes a support bracket, slide pins coupled to the support bracket, inner and outer brake shoes and a caliper supported by the slide pins. The support bracket is a substantially rectangular frame defining a window. The window is adapted to accept a portion of a disc protruding therethrough. The support bracket includes a pair of spaced apart apertures extending through the frame where each aperture includes a threaded portion and a conical seat extending along an axis aligned to intersect the disc. The slide pins are threadingly engaged with a threaded portion. The slide pins do not extend through the window but protrude outwardly away from the window. Each slide pin has a tapered portion in engagement with one of the conical seats.
